If WWE signed him, he should go straight into the main feud and join DB (and eventually CM Punk) against the Corporation. They could explain it by saying that Punk and DB needed help, so they called for top quality reinforcement. Except there are plenty of better guys they could put in that situation AJ isn't on punk or Bryan's level That's because AJ has the handicap of being in TNA. If he joined WWE, within six months they would be able to enhance his star power. I'm not sure there are that many guys in WWE who would do better in that situation. They are pushing Miz and Ziggler, but neither of them come across as anything but douches, so it's hard to sympathise with them. If anything, it might make more sense for them to be IN the Corporation. The only other two guys who might do a better job than Styles as part of the DB/Punk faction that will inevitably form are John Morrison and Jeff Hardy, as both would have fan support, but they aren't available either unfortunately.

Uh... I find Dolph Ziggler to be a lot more of a natural face and more likeable and rootable than I've found AJ in his entire career. Dolph was meant to be a face all along I feel. I find him very sympathetic and fun to watch and much moreso than I've ever found AJ Styles to be sympathetic or fun to watch. And I actually like AJ so thats a statement on how good of a face I find Dolph to be. I actually agree that AJ could have his star power enhanced by the WWE machine and I'd like to see it, I'm just defending Dolph here.

Dolph is less douchey than Miz, I'll give him that, but he just comes across as someone who would be pro-establishment, rather than joining an anti-corporate side. It's something WWE will have to find a way around, since he's obviously been marked as being part of the face side in the feud.

Madison says: In this instance 'Lawn' being WCW. And 'Get off my' meaning a Carter Cutter from outta nowhere. ... It makes sense in context.

I think he actually makes the perfect anti establishment rebel. Maybe simply because I interpret him as being "held down" and the way that he was sort of turned face by the fans as pretty much the definition of anti establishment. Different strokes I guess.

No, guys... AJ should go to WWE for a year. Then he can return to TNA and take his rightful place as the face of the company, complete with a lengthy title reign!
Isn't that how it works?

He's signed a three month contract? Is that right?
That's OK. Just in time for the Royal Rumble then!

I watched AJ Styles vs. Daniels vs. Joe from Turning Point 09 and AJ vs. Daniels from Final Resolution 09 and in addition to making myself sad over remembering how much I loved 2009 TNA it mad me mad to think TNA has one of the absolute best wrestlers in the world and one of the best babyfaces around and in his decade plus in TNA he has only been World Champion as a face from May-June 2005 and September 2009-January 2010.

From today's Wrestling Observer news update by Bryan Alvarez: -- AJ Styles signed a three-month contract extension. The promo on Impact was something he came up with and wrote to explain his character change over the past year, and not something that TNA had any input into. We got reports from the building that the crowd turning on him was worse live than it sounded on TV. -- Should note a pretty famous wrestler contacted me today about the promo and said they were friends with AJ Styles and had no idea his real name was Allen Jones. So he wrote the promo himself and got booed out of the buidling. Ouch. It was much worse live, beacuse the audio from the PA was much quieter, and the crowd much louder. It was pretty surreal to watch the fans go from really excited for him to booing, chanting, and yelling things at him. I'm not a Styles fan so this didn't change my opinion at all, I just sat back and watched it unfold.

I think it'd be smartest to re-sign with TNA, unless he's getting a good deal to go to Japan. I don't see a wrestler of his age and his size getting too much consideration from WWE, even if he is talented. I see your point but he is 36, to compare him to RVD 42, Kane 46 and others on the current WWE roster (who are doing very well considering their age) I think he has enough time left to make ot worth while in the WWE. Especially since he changed his style in the past year or two that would be more applicable to the WWE style. I would really, really want to see him in the company, plus I think he can bypass developmental he is that talented. Age is a factor in wrestling, but it shouldn't be THE factor, especailly given how talented he is. The argument should usually be about fresh faces or people utilized. Plus, since it appears he's changing gears with his style, he may be able to work with the WWE's "Main Event" style better, and due to his talent, he doesn't need time in NXT... or a name change.

Holy shit, he wrote that promo himself?! ...Yeah, some wrestlers just shouldn't have creative control. Yet Triple H wants to go back to the days of bullet point promos

Yet Triple H wants to go back to the days of bullet point promos I would imagine that would only be for people that have proven that they can cut a promo. No way is HHH dumb enough to send Ryback or someone out there with just bullet points and tell him to get something over.
