Oh god, I mean, how can we ever let that awesome guy get away, the Yankees better give us something good back in return. (turkeysandwich stands there smiling nervously, hoping that they can't read his mind and that he really doesn't care if all the Cards get back is a Jim Leyritz autographed jock strap.) Like I said, he's responsible for one of my all time favorite sports moments, but the guy may be a one-postseason wonder. Nothing to be ashamed of at all, that's just how it is.

Pirates, Blue Jays and Diamondbacks all very interested in Jeff Samardzija. Of those, preferably the Jays to get him out of the league, or the D-Backs for the prospects. No way do I want him on the Pirates, seeing him several times a year.

If you want you real LOL ballot. Bill Ballou had Mike Trout 7th.
I don't care who wins these anymore, but that is pretty funny.

He won in a landslide, finishing over 100 points ahead of runner-up Mike Trout. Cabrera received 23 of 30 first-place votes, with Trout getting five and Chris Davis and Josh Donaldson receive one apiece.

You can always count on Keith Law for a good "The guy I didn't pick to win won, so everybody else is stupid" comment following Cabrera's MVP victory.

McCutchen got 28 first place votes, with Paul Goldschmidt in second, and Yadier Molina, getting the other two first place votes, in third. Naturally, the two voters for Molina are both the St. Louis voters. bbwaa.com/13-nl-mvp/

Can't say McCut's not undeserving, but just two first place votes with hometown connections? And MattCarp couldn't even get a look in? Bleh.

You can always count on Keith Law for a good "The guy I didn't pick to win won, so everybody else is stupid" comment following Cabrera's MVP victory. Maybe a bit rude, but he's right. You can't say Trout wasn't the best player in baseball this year.
