I know some people got a refund at TLC 2011 because John Cena wasn't on the show, yet he was listed on some on-screen info guides. If you're willing to go through customer service and complain, you might be able to get your refund.

The WWE title is supposed to be The Super Bowl trophy of the WWE, if you paid money to watch the SB on TV and saw one team win, and then it suddenly did not count, would you be happy? Terrible comparison. One's real, one's not. One's free, one's not. Not to mention that there's no possible way for that to happen.

If Triple H is the one booking this feud, I expect him to get a lot of heat over it. PPV's are pure revenue, and they just lost a good chunk of that, due to bad booking Look at my example of the 2005 Orange Bowl between Oklahoma and USC. A lot of people paid a shitload of money to go to that game. USC was stripped of the National Title and the game never officially happened. So that game didn't count. Those fans haven't gotten refunds.

Oh you are f***ing kidding me. This isn't just a slippery slope for wrestling, it's a slippery slope for everything. Don't like how a plot twist in a movie or television show negates something before it, demand money. People who went to the 2005 Orange Bowl between USC and Oklahoma, demand your money back since USC was stripped of the title. I demanded compensation for Super Bowl XXXVI. I can relate.

But again, if you're customer of any sorta retail business, and you throw a big enough fit and say threaten to cancel services/never shop there again/whatever; eventually like a spoiled child having a conniption, you'll get your way. Sad but true.

The WWE title is more like Ewing Oil in "Dallas"
A macguffin that the characters want which drives a plot.
WWE PPV's and TV shows are episodes of a soap opera.

And this would be the same thing as if people whined to their cable company after King of the Ring '98 because Steve Austin won his rematch on the Raw right after the PPV.

I reckon it was just a protest of this god-awful storyline Not sure which storyline you're referring to, because you surely can't mean the WWE title one.

I reckon it was just a protest of this god-awful storyline Wouldn't a good way to protest it be to not shell out money in the first place?

If anything people should be refunded for having to pay for, what was essentially, a glorified Raw.

WWE will start a pay per view called "card subject to change" Coincidentally, it will be replacing Payback.

Yea, but if it works, how many others will jump on to get a free ppv? I dunno. I would say the people who want the PPV for free already get it for free.

I wonder if they would have asked for refunds if Cody Rhodes came out through the crowd, interfered in the Orton-Bryan match, and cost Orton the title, only for Triple-H to say on Raw that Bryan's stripped of the WWE title due to "fan" interference(doesn't even mention Cody by name).

Im sure the fact that it was such a crappy ppv also played into the refunds. At this rate, the buyrate is going to plummet to tna levels.

Daniel Bryan will be blamed for this, he will be buried at the next PPV, turned Heel and Cena returns, defeats the Corporation and wins the WWE Title once more at WM 30.
