it's not a real competition. I have no idea what that cable company is thinking. that's like watching Star Wars and then asking for a refund a few years later because you're mad that Han got put in carbonite.
while we're at it, can I get my money back from Jesus if I die at the end of my life?

For some reason I thought people tried to get a refund because of Raw's tendency to give you PPV matches for free. The night after the damn PPV.

The WWE title is supposed to be The Super Bowl trophy of the WWE, if you paid money to watch the SB on TV and saw one team win, and then it suddenly did not count, would you be happy? If Triple H is the one booking this feud, I expect him to get a lot of heat over it. PPV's are pure revenue, and they just lost a good chunk of that, due to bad booking Except Daniel Bryan was WWE champion. The result of that match still happened, that never changed. This is stupid, and I wish no one got a refund and I hate the people that did this. If they're gonna shit on fans, why do we have to pay for it? There's a reason I haven't paid for a PPV since 18 seconds happened

You pay for 3 hour wrestling show, they gave you a 3 hour wrestling show. Even every advertised match happened, which also isn't promised. Stories don't need to end at PPVs Daniel Bryan was the WWE champion for a day, we getting refunds for every short title reign now? People get refunds when Christian lost the WHC 2 days later? Were there refunds after Kane's 1 day WWF title reign? Now if you want to get into the fact that these lesser PPVs are priced too highly? Yes they are. But the people who paid for it agreed to pay that price.

I want a refund for No Way Out '98 because Savio Vega was the DX mystery partner.

Stupid question, did refunds go out after that TNA ppv where Hardy showed up drunk/high and flopped into the ring to get pinned?
That's about the only time I would consider asking for a refund.

No refunds from cable companies but TNA gave people I think 3 months of their On Demand service for free to people that requested it.

What a bunch of:
1. entitled babies. or 2. freaking cheap ass conmen.
Complaining about a show that happened after the ppv, and demanding a refund is like if I saw Kickboxer and was so enraged that kickboxer 2 begins with the murder of the characters from Bloodsport 1, that I demanded a refund from the theatre.

I can't believe you all. This isn't something like "not liking an ending or payoff", but rather an event after the show that negates the event people paid to see.
It's not like if you didn't like how the boxing main event ended, it's if it ended with the title changing hands, and then a press conference by the promoter saying the match was no longer valid and the title had to be returned.

Even if we were to say boxing is a valid comparison, it would be more like a boxer retiring after his title win and now the title is vacant. 3) Even if a match is invalidated the next day, you still witnessed the entire show, which is what you paid for. You don't pay for a certain result or any result at all--you pay for the viewing of the show.

I think the trouble is that the PPVs should really have more consequences than free shows, if people are shelling out money for them. At the end of the day, you could skip all of Night Of Champions except the 2 seconds it took for the fast count and not even notice that anything had changed, whereas Raw has the events with Dusty Rhodes, the first big anti-HHH rebellion, what happened to Miz and Orton getting a new direction... Which one was worth the money?

I can just imagine a mark going on and on about 'yes chants', Daniel Bryan getting screwed, Triple H being an evil bastard, etc. all to a representative who was trying their damndest to follow whatever the hell he was going on about, wistfully hoping for the conversation to just end.

I would totally listen to a podcast where each week people whose job somehow involves dealing with obsessive wrestling fans takes time to vent and share their horror stories.

I used to work in Customer Service at a cable company..... it would get enraging at times, but some people were hilarious at how angry they would get at certain things. I can't believe the cable company gave a refund in this situation. It actually sickens me.

My condolences man, the cable company people always seem so damn shocked when I'm nice to them that it almost bums me out. Although I did have to call once because I got on-screen confirmation that a PPV I ordered had been purchased then when the show started it told me to order it so when I call and talked to a rep she made an off-handed comment to the effect of "I don't know why you care anyway."
