They need a good storyline, and someone to face other than any variant of 3MB. To me this is their problem. I get that the roster is a little shaky with three hours, but if they have to keep fighting 3MB at least give them an actual angle to work off of. Like that one night on Smackdown where before this Primo and Epico had a mixed tag battle with Rosa against Nattie, Hornswoggle, and Khali over a parking dispute. THAT'S what is missing here.

How can you give los matadores a good storyline is the problem. No it's not. Just give them something goofy like the 3MB interrupting Los Matadores training by playing their instruments too loud and singing horribly. They don't need something to the level of Punk's pipebomb, just something funny would be more than enough for them.

You want an angle? I've got an angle.
Has anyone ever seen Epico & Primo and El Matadores in the same place? Zeb Colter makes it his life's purpose to unmask El Matadores as the Colons...comedic hi jinx ensues.

Them appearing on my TV is an instant piss break. I really can't stand the gimmick at all.

I think the fact that they're a comedy group widens the potential storylines you can give them.

And when Zeb thinks he's finally proved it, we see Primo and Epico actually TALKING TO Los Matadores, who would be played by an extra tan Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

The live crowds love the gimmick. Hell, I wanna see them star in a cheesy 70's style buddy comedy on WWE Network.

Torito is awesome. Primo and Epico clearly don't give a shit and don't care about their gimmick so neither do I.

I don't have a problem with them. They're colorful, decent in the ring, and help fill out a rising tag division.

I don't think they're terrible, but they could definitely stand to be retooled a bit. I'd try and give them a bit more in the way of individual identities which even as Primo and Epico has always been a problem for them - Primo has always just aped Carlito's moveset and Epico does the same thing, and while they're not doing that as much they are still completely interchangeable as it stands. Try and make it a Too Cool sort of act, where all three guys had clear gimmicks and their own signature spots and look, but they still clearly fit together as a unit.
Though I do think they should have been heels, with it clearly just being Primo and Epico wearing masks and being condescending dicks with an over-the-top, stupid gimmick expecting the crowd to love them for it.

Torito is awesome. Primo and Epico clearly don't give a shit and don't care about their gimmick so neither do I. That's a big part of it too. Guys like Fandango, Kane, Goldust, etc, put their all into their gimmicks and gave their characters distinct mannerisims and quirks. These guys don't have that. They still wrestle and have the body language of "Primo and Epico: Guys Still Employed Because Their Valet Gives Michael Hayes Head" and it shows since as that, they never had distinct characteristics or quirks. It's just Primo and Epico in crappy mask, they haven't really "become" their roles so to speak.

I'm the biggest Primo on here and I can honestly say I've lost interest in Los Matadores - I could give a crap how immersed they are in their gimmicks. It's not the kind of gimmick that lends itself to depth anyway. But they're clearly out there to dispense spots, kill time, and leave. They don't even wrestle, really.
So... they've taken away Primo's skill and his cute face. Nice going, WWE.

After their first couple of outings where my main concern was that they seemed to be embarrassed by the gimmick and not really getting into it; I have been won over.
They seem to have grown into their role. Their matches, at worst, are still fun and at best, they're highly entertaining. (VS Real Americans being a prime example of how good they can be) The little bull's antics are a giggle as well.
All in all I hope they keep getting better and continue to add a different dynamic to what is steadily becoming the best tag division in many a year.
PS their entrance gets a great reaction from the crowd as far as I can see/hear.

And people focus on Puerto Ricans playing Mexcian matadores but forget that a number of wrestlers played similar roles. Yokozuna was a Samoan playing a Japanese sumo wrestler. Muhammad Hussan was Italian. So was Chief Jay Strongbow. Ivan Koloff was born in Canada. Santino is a Canadian citizen not Italian. You would be surprised at the number of ethnic wrestlers who weren't the real deal. ...yeah, and all of that was bad, too. In fact, having a history of this kind of thing is all the more reason to NOT DO IT. Yokozuna was the weirdest one, because they specifically announced him as being from... "the Polynesian Islands," wasn't it? But then they also kept going on about how he was Japanese. So it's not that they were trying to convince us he was Japanese, but rather that Samoa is part of Japan? Or something? That whole thing was confusing. Ivan Koloff is slightly more forgivable, because it's not like, on a day-to-day basis, the typical US Citizen is going to meet a Canadian and confuse them with a Russian. It's also hard to get mad about Strongbow or Hassan being played by Italians given everything else that was wrong with those gimmicks. But there's a key difference here: I don't believe that anyone in the WWE doesn't know or care that Italian people and Middle-Eastern people are different. I DO, however, find it very plausible that they don't know or care that Spanish people and Puerto Rican people are different. See, it's not like the concept of a Puerto Rican bullfighter is insane (beyond the insanity of a freakin BULLFIGHTER in 2013). But WWE, give us SOMETHING. Have them be Puerto Ricans who went to Spain to learn bullfighting. This stuff ain't hard.

Gimmicks like that make me wish the WWE just went ahead and did a kiddies division where those silly characters are only seen on weekend mornings. If I want to see a midget in a bull costume gore a racist old man in the ass, I'd go to a bar in West Texas. I thought I had my "post of the day" gif on that account but apparently not, instead of finding a new one, here's the Sin Cara point of approval. What makes that post even more impressive is that gif of Big Show to the left.
