I found it funny during the brawl there was a pretty decent Okada > Cena sign in the front row that got on camera a few times.
I'd have a hard time arguing against it. lol.

I noticed that Cena once again played the "my little buddy" Daniel Bryan card again. It does nothing to help DB's image. I suppose he needed to do it. Cena/Stephanie/HHH/Orton were dying out there. It summed up what WWE's biggest flaw is. Shoehorned, forced booking.

Just say why, don't be lazy please. The stuff about tearing down Orton doesn't work for me at all, it's way too meta and ridiculous. I noticed that Cena once again played the "my little buddy" Daniel Bryan card again. It does nothing to help DB's image. And there's this, one of my biggest problems with the promo and why I really didn't like it. It just comes off as cheap when Cena does this, even if it is 'reacting to the live crowd' and all. The way he then started bizarrely taking credit for the success of the various guys in the ring didn't help either. It seemed to be "Cena died for our sins". Sure he did a good job actually reacting to the crowd as opposed to Orton and HHH droning on, but he still didn't have them captivated or anything when it came to the content of his promo. If not for the big ending, RAW would have ended with a total thud if it were just the handshake or handshake and pull apart brawl.

It summed up what WWE's biggest flaw is. Shoehorned, forced booking. And it worked for Cena. *crowd shitting all over the segment* "HEY GUYZ IT'S MY LITTLE BUDDY DANIEL BRYAN! LOOK AT DANIEL, YOU DO LIKE HIM, DON'T YOU?" *crowd goes apeshit and eats out of Cena's palm afterwards*

The logic of the promo was ridiculous, which is the only flaw, but it's a HUGE flaw.
Randy got lazy? In kayfabe terms up until a few months ago he was pimped as the arguable 2nd to Cena guy still, and whilst you can make a point that Cena's speel is about "oh he should be first", Orton's a multi-time World champion who was more popular in fans eyes more often than not than John Cena.
The lack of logic is absolutely baffling, Punk can often get away with smarky meta comments as his most famous works also tie in to kayfabe, and unfortunately not many other guys actually manage it, thus rendering their promos meaningless and unsatisfying.
"I lost to these two huge stars, so this proves why I should face you and the others shouldn't get rightful rematches/new matches with you, Orton!" sucks as a go to line too.
He got the crowd on his side, yeah, but this is the same thing people pissed on Big Show about, you can't hijack the much more popular guy to make yourself seem good without it seeming like a disingenuous prick move.

Yes. Cena did a good job pandering and getting cheap pops in the vein hopes that SOMEONE will care about this god-awful angle

Bull f***ing shit. The guy has worked incredibly, incredibly hard, but "as much as somebody can"? He became a teflon WWE Champion five years into his wrestling career. Some guys have been handed more, but plenty have worked harder and been handed less. At a time when Batista was headlining the A show, they decided to market Cena as an invincible champion and hand him the keys to the company. A lot of people have been given much shittier gimmicks. He works hard, but saying that he's earned everything he has is just buying into his t-shirt slogans. So did CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Well, besides the fact that I'd hardly call Punk and Bryan 'teflon', I said wrestling career, not WWE career.

I say credit where credit's due, the crowd went from booing and chanting 'Daniel Bryan' to actually all joking in for the 'Come get some' line. Okay it was at Bryan's expense and the crowd soon went back to chanting for Bryan, but it was still damn impressive how he worked what looked like an unworkable crowd. Hat is off to the gentleman.

The best thing about the whole segment was Mizark realising what the people wanted, and raising Daniel Bryan's hand.
God bless you, Mizark.

I agree, it definitely was a great promo from him. Not too fake serious, not too clowny.
It was JUST RIGHT.

Can't really fault Cena for 'pandering' when Bryan yelled 'GO SEAHAWKS' for no reason whatsoever on the same show.
Babyfaces!

Can't really fault Cena for 'pandering' when Bryan yelled 'GO SEAHAWKS' for no reason whatsoever on the same show. Babyfaces! It's the hypocritical double-standards with Cena. Someone like The Rock can go out there and say "Finally, The Rock has come back to Seattle," that's ok. John Cena uses the hometown boy to his advantage, "how dare he!" It's what faces do, they pander to the crowd, it's been happening since wrestling began. I don't understand why Cena's not allowed to do what so many before him would have done.

But Bryan's from the area, and is a legit Seahawks fan. It's nothing like Cena or Rocky's cheap pops.

It's because when Cena pathetically uses Daniel Bryan as a crowd-shield, he makes him look like his plucky sidekick.
