Okay, I know it'd look pretty weak for the IC champ to lose to some dude from the Shield, but man he looked like a complete chump against Big E. He didn't last at all like Rollins did, and he certainly didn't destory his opponent like Reigns did. So like, when is he going to be speared and thrown out of the group? It's pretty obvious he's the weak link. He's not that great of a wrestler, he slurs every word ON PURPOSE, and his look is just...off. After Friday, I wouldn't have thought twice about kicking him out of the Shield if I was the leader.
Dunno what everyone saw in this guy, but I don't see a thing. The sooner he gets less TV time, the better.

Because if he wasn't there The Shield would've been ploughing through everyone, I like Ambrose but the only reason The Shield keep him around is because they want to have a little bit of suspense, I don't get why everyone dislikes Ambrose all of a sudden, you guys sang his praises in FCW.

I wasn't one of those who were praising him. I barely saw FCW, but from what I could tell, he seemed like some guy who was slightly unhinged and liked to trash talk dudes. That gimmick has been dated since the beginning of time.
In the ring, he's alright, but not anything special. A lot of people say he has good in-ring psychology, which I can understand, but I always scale it up against the likes of Jake Roberts if I'm comparing two in-ring psychologists. On that scale, he falls at about the level of X-Pac to me.
He's nothing completely terrible, but compared to his two cohorts, he's definitely nothing great.

I agree in that he's no-where near Jake Roberts (who is probably one the greatest in ring psychologists ever) and, admittedly I've not been as impressed with him as I have with Reigns and Rollins, but I would probably have him around as The Shield's personal commentator because I believe his greatest strength is his mic work and he did quite a good job with it when he was on commentary, hopefully Ambrose gets to be as good as Reigns, who I first thought was the weakest in the Shield but now he's hands-down the top dog, I think the case with Ambrose is that he's good, but the other two members are on another level so Ambrose maybe doesn't stand out as much as he did.

"Ambrose isn't that good" is becoming one of the recurring threads of this place. The more well-liked a superstar is, the more vocal the people that don't like him are. Bryan or Ambrose will get threads about them created solely for the purpose of a poster going on about how much they suck, but it's unlikely that you'll see the same thing done for someone like Jinder Mahal.

So, is your schtick like, hating everything these days? Anyway, they're having him get his arse kicked because he was bragging about being the best member due to still having a belt, so they're making him look like a chump so the other two can dump him with good reason when it finally happens. From an in-ring standpoint, He's not a fancy high flyer like Rollins or a Powerhouse like Reigns, he's just a straight up crazy brawler who doesn't give a f***. I swear to god, it's like folks around here are the worst hipsters ever. "He's the next coming of god, give him all the titles" *debuts* "Ugh, he sucks! Why do they have to stick him with Reigns and Rollins, those guys are the future." No doubt when Reigns gets his inevitable face push, folks will turn against him too. You sir are awesome, Seriously why look for the negatives when people could look for positives, when Ambrose is the worst member of The Shield, Ambrose is pretty damn good but as I said before he ain't as good as Reigns or Rollins, but if Ambrose is awesome and he's the weak link just focus on how good the other two have to be for someone like Ambrose to be the weak link.

He is the foundation of their promo work, without him I seriously think Rollins and Reigns would struggle. I feel I have seen Reigns and Rollins improve over their time in the Shield with their promos (especially Rollins as I have seen him cut more promos for a longer time since ROH/Indys) and I feel without Ambrose they wouldn't have that confidence.
Some of his promos that have not aired on TV, instead have been on YT have been incredible. From a character standpoint and mannerisms as well the guy has got game. Yes arguably Rollins and Reigns may be better in the ring but Ambrose is no slouch either.

Am I the only one who sees that Dean not being used to his full potential?
Surely I can't be. Although he's been on the mic a bit, done some things in-ring and worked with his teammates he looks to be "sealed" in a way if that makes any sense. For example, Kane is sealed in his current position. AJ was sealed as Daniel Bryan's girlfriend. Basically, he's not being used at his max and considering he can't go "all out" it looks as if he's not that great to some people. Out of all the members of the Shield he's the #1 that works best if you don't limit him. You can say "Ok Dean, we'll give you a 5 minute intro promo, a 15 minute match and then some end of the match shenanigans, do whatever you want" and he comes out shining. The problem though is that here you can see he can't do that. He's focusing too much on "The Shield" and not on himself as a character. Beyond that his style isn't as flashy as the other two. You can tell a story in the ring but he's trying to tell a story of The Shield and not Dean Ambrose.
Now he's taken the roll of Seth in which he's the one getting beaten and looking like crap simply because he's the only one with the belt and he was talking crap a while ago. Had he not done that he wouldn't be in this position. Because Seth doesn't have a belt Dean's taken over his position as the fall guy.
Once he breaks out on his own things will change but he was handicapped when he joined the group.

Exactly, for a weak link, he's still stronger than a helluva lot of the roster. He's the proverbial Jack of all Trades, master of none, he doesn't shine in any area in particular, but he's well rounded in every other area.

I've seen enough of pre WWE Ambrose to know he's a better character/mic worker than what we've seen so far
It'll probably pick up when he's on his own. When you get right down to it, there really isn't much for the Shield to actually talk about. Most of their storylines are very simple (or non existent, for a while they were just attacking people not involved in muchof anything)
I'll also point out that CM Punks character/mic work was very basic when he first appeared as well.
