Failed in the sense that he still has to come back to a company that he loathes. Where did he say he loathes the company? If he disliked it that much he wouldn't be coming back. These are his words: Then there is this video where someone else talks for him, but basically alludes to Batista saying he does not plan to return any time soon: The show has not changed at all since he left, so for him to return after being so vocal about his disdain for the company tells me that he either has no options or is not a man of his word.

Or again, they offered him a sweet deal and he changed his mind.
Plus in the first clip posted he talked about "when Hunter gets me power..." Well, his buddy is in power now, so that probably changed his mind some as well.

Batista is in the ensemble cast of what is likely to be the biggest film of the summer (and possibly even the year) If he isn't an "A level" talent now he will be in a few months. Guardians is a huge achievement for him, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I'd crown Guardians yet, considering it's an obscure comic book with a goofy premise in an already oversaturated market. Since it'll be competing against a Transformers movie, a Captain America movie, and TMNT, not to mention any other movies that could creep up, it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't draw people out to the box office the way a lot of previous Marvel movies did. When you throw in RE6, Spider-Man 2, Hunger Games 3 and the new Hobbit, it wouldn't surprise me if Guardians isn't in the top 5. Of course, I could be wrong, but I think Marvel is destined to misstep sometime, especially since Agents of Shield proved that they're not bulletproof. If any title will do it, it'll be the one that tells us to take a CGI raccoon and a tree as a serious main leads. Strangely enough for a thread about various levels of talent, that CGI raccoon is actually voiced by the only "A Level" name in the film. Rocket Raccoon vs Cena at Extreme Rules!!

I just want Punk and Batista to high five at some point, if Batista is going to return as a face, this needs to happen
Then I can use that gif for...well anything really.
I've had Iron sheik related avatars for as long as I can remember, that would be my new one if it happened

To be fair, there's a planet of difference between Raw in 2009-2010 and Raw now. It's still PG, but it's way less constricted than it was when Batista was around last.

I will say it's a lil weird that he railed so much against PG when virtually nothing his character ever did woulda been over the line in the PG era either.

I will say it's a lil weird that he railed so much against PG when virtually nothing his character ever did woulda been over the line in the PG era either. there was that time when Melina accused him of Sexual Assault and suddenly he was injured and couldn't finish the storyline. so yeah Dave, a ore R-rated product was totally helping you out.

Doesn't seem all that different to me. The only thing I am thankful for is the fact that nobody blades and the ladies can have respectable matches to settle their disputes, but the show still feels very neutered.
