www.businessinsider.com/most-popular-tv-shows-set-in-each-state-2013-12I think New Hampshire got the shortest stick. I've never seen the show that represents my state, although I have heard of it. While it's probably not the best show on the list, Washington is probably the best represented (wealthy psychologists vs. meth dealers). Which state is the best represented?

Walker was more popular than Dallas?
Northern Exposure more popular than Deadliest Catch?
And American Pickers spends most of its show away from Iowa. The shop/store and the sexy Danielle is the only part that's in the state.
Grains of salt.

Next to the Atlantic Ocean, right above the Mexican border, and about a day's worth of driving to Alaska.

Really, Smallville doesn't deserve to be on there. Gunsmoke took place in Kansas, and was on TV for like twenty years.

Walker was more popular than Dallas? Northern Exposure more popular than Deadliest Catch? And American Pickers spends most of its show away from Iowa. The shop/store and the sexy Danielle is the only part that's in the state. Grains of salt. They favored scripted shows over reality shows, and looked at acclaim, longevity, and impact on culture. So Northern Exposure makes sense, it ran about as long as Deadliest Catch, won Emmy's, was culturally significant, and was scripted, as opposed to reality. I think American Pickers got the nod because there's almost nothing set in Iowa, you have forgotten 70's and 80's shows that lasted one or two seasons, so a show that has lasted as long as Pickers really wins by default. It's only set location is Iowa, so ti qualifies there as much as anywhere else. I agree about Dallas though.

I know that Mary Tyler Moore was the more popular show. However, I liked Coach more.

I like how a bunch of shows that are located in a specific state or share a name with the state (or it's capital) are the most watched shows of that state...... except 'The Virginian'

I figured Ohio would get WKRP in Cincinnati, not sure how popular it is though. Never seen an episode of Family Ties.

Man, did we luck out with Parks and Rec. I have never watched that show, but I don't think it should have been the one selected. Granted, the first one that came to mind was The Middle, but to me it should come down to Garfield and One Day at a Time.

Well, outside of South Park I can't even think of any other shows based in Colorado, so that makes sense.
