He goes from cashing in MITB and winning the WHC to one of the best crowd reactions of all time, only about 1 year ago, to getting eliminated by Santino's cobra in a US title battle royal.
I heard rumors about him saying something negative about HHH or WWE, but how bad could it be? What exactly did he say, I couldn't find it?
Ziggler should be about 50 to 75% of Daniel Bryan's level by now, given his steadily rising star power and crowd support at the time. He even beat Cena in a TLC ladder match defending that same MITB briefcase.
Something serious had to happen, I don't think this is a coincidence.

I don't know what Ziggler did, but this makes me really sad for the guy.

He didn't grow very tall, and then the audience didn't flip their shit and revolt every time he wasn't in the main event.

To play devil's advocate, apparently some people wanted Ziggler to slow down in his matches and Ziggler got offended and decided to complain about it online.

I think it's the "complained online" part, it HAS to be. If he just said, "ok, sure, I'll slow down for you", then he'd be "loafing and obviously doesn't want it that bad".

Well yeah, the people who mark for him solely for bumping like crazy would whine, but it'd probably pay off for Ziggler more in the long run. I dunno, not trying to justify him getting depushed, just that if that's the case it actually makes sense.

And I'm not saying that slowing down wouldn't make more sense either, especially for his ability to not be wheelchair bound at age 40. However, for a guy who doesn't have "the look", slowing down is far easier seen as "not wanting it bad enough". We've seen that rational used post-release for smaller guys before.

Sucky situation to be in.

The thing is, quitting or half-assing things isn't going to make things better. Is TNA in their current state really an option? Maybe he could get a regular role in ROH or PWG or another top indy, I don't know, but there's no guarantees.
He's in a tough situation, but all he can really do is keep going and hope for the best.

One of the best crowd reactions of all time? At the RAW after WrestleMania 29, wasn't Dolph Ziggler basically the equivalent of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, the Rock, and Daniel Bryan combined for about 20 minutes?

Dolph Ziggler looks a lot better taking offense than he does giving offense. He was born to lose.

Dolph Ziggler looks a lot better taking offense than he does giving offense. He was born to lose. "There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of WWE. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always — do not forget this, Dolph — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a Brogue Kick stamping on a human face — forever."
