I watched this as part of an employee preview at the theatre. Really loved it and found the development of the mystical aspect of it to be fascinating. While I do believe Marvel tends to add too much humor to their films, ultimately it's not a deal breaker for me, however, it would be nice if they didn't more or less dampen an epic moment with something humorous happening.
Overall I really did enjoy it and you can tell they're going in a much darker direction now which was needed.

That was really good. Cumberbatch, Swinton, and Eijofor all excelled, Cumberbatch in particular was great. And that score, my goodness, can't wait to hear what Giacchino has in store for everybody with his Rogue One score.

Just got back from it. First off, my trailers were: The Space Between Us Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 Star Wars Jack Reacher Regarding the movie, it wasn't my favorite of the Marvel films but it was certainly a strong effort and far from offensive. And it progressed the overall MCU story, which is what I want more than anything. It's definitely required viewing and a good one at that. Like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man, I think it'll do well in the long run and avoid being MCU's first failure (which gets predicted, ad nauseum). Other thoughts: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}
I also would've preferred they switch the mid-credits and end-credits scene. It would've made more sense to have the end-credits first since it progresses the story at hand. The one with Thor was more of an "Easter Egg/gag/nudge-nudge, wink-wink" type thing and would've fit in as one finally twist at the end. Regardless, both were good.
Now that we've found the Time Stone, I'm wondering if it fits the Thanos Theory. For those unaware, it goes like this:
Tesseract H Aether N Orb Scepter
Eye of Agamotto doesn't fit, nor does Kamar-Taj. Am I missing something?
*Edit: Maybe "N" for "Necklace," since the Eye hangs around Strange's neck?
And what was Stan Lee reading that made him laugh so much?

I will say ,maybe because it was fresh and the effects are a weak spot for me ,that overall world breaking style. It may be my favourite MCU movie

Thought it was good, probably squarely in the middle of the MCU. Comparing it to the other MCU entries that had to go outside the established comfort zone, I thought it was a little bit better than Thor but not up to GotG. I thought everyone in the cast did a great job selling this new part of the universe throughout. The effects were top-notch, especially Strange's first look at the multiverse and the fight in New York. I still think The Jungle Book is winning the Oscar, but this is some strong competition at least. The humor felt flat and forced, but that seems to just be a thing they're doing in the comics as well; I've always preferred the more stoic Strange but what are ya gonna do?
Solid thumbs up. Bonus thumbs up for the shout-out to the Living Tribunal.

I enjoyed the hell out of this. Those effects were crazy, man. Really, really cool. I definitely want to check it out again down the road.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Visually it was damn good and Cumberbatch was awesome in his role, but yet again we got another lame villain that won't be remembered.

The comfort zone is the "realistic" superhero, post Nolan Batman. Like, a guy could build a suit of armor. A guy could get injected with super steroids. These things are conceivably possible in our world, whereas Asgard, space battles and mystical wars are not. Also, for those who are thinking about seeing it in 3D, it's a must. Saw it in IMAX and it was amazing. {Spoiler}The battle in New York, and especially the Ancient One's fall through the sky, are especially impressive.

For someone who is not familiar with the comics. Can someone please explain the scene at the very end of the credits?

For someone who is not familiar with the comics. Can someone please explain the scene at the very end of the credits? Mordo becomes Baron Mordo after he feels betrayed by the Ancient One and alligns himself with Dormammu after Strange foils Mordo's plot to kill Ancient one and practices in the black arts (comics).

Well....I'll give it a 7/10....worth seeing but certainly not any where close to Marvel's best.

Saw it at a 10:10 screening on Thursday night. Pretty good crowd for a movie that wrapped after midnight, I must say. Movie is really solid. Wasn't worried about a possible problem the way I was with GOTG or Ant-Man, but went in having never read a word of the Doctor. I'll have to adjust that, as I found the character and the universe really interesting and compelling. For me, it's the top of the mid-card among Marvel movies, equal with the first Thor, which is ironic given I wasn't sold on the Marvel universe being good past Iron Man until that movie. This one brought in the mystical with the same style and compulsion. My only real complaint is I felt something got cut from the middle of the movie, like there was a scene or two missing. Now, to spoilers: {Spoiler} Listen on rewatch, they mention a 'soldier with an injured spine wearing an experimental suit of armor' who Strange dismisses as untreatable. Nice call out to the end of Civil War and good for time and place with this movie.
Got serious Cate Blanchett vibes off Tilda as the Ancient One here, which is encouraging for the next Thor. Her dumping Strange on Everest was fun too.
First time I'm aware of seeing Mads Mikkelson in anything and he nearly stole the movie! Would love to see more involving his character, maybe in prequel comics or in future movies.
Holy crap, I didn't ever recognize Benjamin Bratt in his scene and finally had it click in my brain during the last end credits scene! 'Too many sorcerers' is going to be interesting for the future, given I was of the impression from this movie, there were not that many anyway. Hmm.
And Strange will apparently be back next year in Thor! OK then! Better put plastic sheeting down on movie floors for the fangirls, they were already squealing over the mid-credits when Hemsworth showed up.

It's the soldier in the Hammer Tech armor that Stark shows when he's proving that no one is close to duplicating his technology. That's why Strange is a lot more seasoned by the time Thor shows up at his doorstep looking for help.
