I can't wait for him to feud with Cena. Cena overcomes the oddz by plugging the controller in port 2. Itami - So, you like playing Castlevania?

I think the biggest question here is this. How does one pronounce Itami anyway? (Long E)E-Tah-Me To me Itami sounds more Italian than Japanese. Which now makes me want to see an FBI revival anchored by KENTA. Makes him sound like a video game developer but I'll get used to it. After every victory Hideo should walk up the ramp, give a big thumbs up with his back to the tron while on the screen his name and logo pops up with "Winners don't use drugs!" under it.

Not the first time there's been a Japanese wrestler with an Italian gimmick: ![](http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/pictures/m/milanocollectionat/01.jpg)

He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

I can only assume his hero is Hideo Kojima. Not just Hideo Kojima... ![](http://i58.tinypic.com/15holrq.png)

What I liked about it was that they acknowledged his former name before giving him the new one. Not saying they need to do that with every new performer that comes through, but I thought it was a thoughtful touch.

Baba Inoki would have been the best choice.

It's a fine name, but Kenta is so much simpler and easier to chant, thus I think that chant will follow him around for his WWE career.

He was one of my favorite wrestlers. Shame his career ended so suddenly due to eye injury.

Not wearing socks with his suit, immediate burial under my booking strategy.

If his original name had been HIDEO and they had changed it to Kenta, people would be saying Hideo was badass and Kenta sounds too much like Honda.

Names often take a lot of getting used to when you've been used to something for so long. I remember the first time I heard Daniel Bryan, he'll even before that when Meltzer reported on it and was unaware if a name change or announcer f*** up. Now I can't picture the man as anything other than Daniel Bryan. Time will tell if KENTAs new initially awful sounding name catches on.
