We don't need to wonder what Punk was thinking, because I think this says it all: I like how Hunter's face just shows he knows this segment is going over like a fart in church but knows he can't laugh his ass off like he wants too like Punk.

I like how Mizark just thought "bollocks to this shit" and raised DB's hand.

Foley's doing a subtle nod as if to say "Yeah, sure", while Ziggler turns his head like he's disgusted.

What was up with Cena standing with Triple H and Stephanie at the end of the segment? I thought that was gonna go somewhere...but I don't think it was ever mentioned again, forever placed in the vault with moments like the end of million dollar mania, or the time Triple H helped Punk retain the title against Cena. It was just a Cena heel turn tease for the PPV when WWE had no intention of turning him. Simple as that really.

Wasn't this supposed to be the last time they fought or something? I can't remember. I think the last time was meant to be Bragging Rights 2009. Then they did a staredown at the 2010 Rumble, to complete indifference. Hilarious.

My memory is hazy. I remember they did a staredown during a rumble, I assumed it was the one immediately following. I stand corrected.

Three thoughts-
I didn't like how the crowd shat all over Orton's promo because I thought it was very strong by Orton promo standards.
Cena dealt with the crowd like a total pro, as always.
The crowd rejecting them both and cheering for DB was truly magic

Wasn't this supposed to be the last time they fought or something? I can't remember. But yeah, that was a great moment in WWE TV made great by a crowd basically saying "f*** you" to their shitty narrative. Exactly. For me 2014 will be at least partially defined by the crowd forcing Vince's hand, as it should be. No one wanted the direction they wanted. And WWE were given two choices as a result: concession and the implementation and completion of the most logical and most desired narrative. OR, the total ruination of the one the company wrongly believed/wanted to be the justified course, all culminating at the event that was most pivotal to them, WrestleMania, which was the initial launch pad and hook of their Network. They luckily chose sense over hubris.

It's pretty funny/sad that Orton has been the Authority "golden boy" for over a year yet they lost faith in him and began resenting him almost immediately.

I wonder why if they were afraid of bryan they didn't decided to write him off before this segment?

HHH and Stephanie were probably wishing the crowd would shut up. Cena & Orton were probably wishing the crowd cared about them Punk was probably happy, jealous and pissed at the same time Everyone else was laughing inside except Daniel Bryan who was laughing on the outside. This could be applicable in so many situations

I wonder why if they were afraid of bryan they didn't decided to write him off before this segment? Because I think it was all a work. I've always thought Bryan in the mania main event was always the plan. They spent the whole of August until March building him up for it. I know the WWE may seem out of touch and dumb, but they're not stupid enough to stick the already immensely over Bryan in the background segment in his (de facto) home town and not expect Yes chants. Especially when people had been doing his chantin segments he wasn't even involved in for months.
