I have a great idea for the next movie! Two words: Humpback whales! *shoves you out the way* i have a better and MORE realistic idea for the next THREE movies ..... involving a certain father of a certain KLINGON EYE-PATCHED WARRIOR ..... mirroring hehe ..... mirroring the relationship with kirk and carol (maybe in a bikini, i don't know) and a certain "LOST PLANET OF VULCAN" ..... or maybe LOST PLANETS, and not just "OF VULCAN" either!!! perhaps ..... in the newly formed "NEUTRAL ZONES" and maybe have a "GHOST MACHINE" ..... first title of the trilogy ..... then "NEW HORIZONS" and finally "TO BOLDLY GO" ..... so we get viewpoints from starfleet AND klingon empires!

I wish they would funnel the money and effort going toward this troubled production into a go at bringing Star Trek back to tv.

The link actually has the English version now. Not sure about this trailer, but trailers alone don't make a movie.

yeah, was just about to update, they released it because it leaked.
Not too spry about the use of Beastie Boys again, but it looks like a romp, and it's better that than some political commentary

Curious what Enterprise's fate will be. New timeline, so anything is possible. Also, didn't see Carol Marcus in there. Did she re-sign or leave so Kirk could get this alien chick?

I think, because this is the third of the new Treks, they're trying to remind everyone the Enterprise was destroyed in the third film of the classic run

I saw the trailer. One liners and explosions set to the Beastie Boys. Sorry, it's just not Star Trek, even if they want to call it that. All the intellect has just been completely drained from this franchise.

It's a little bit different to Sisko and Eddington having a battle of wits while playing out an interstellar version of Les Miserables.

I've been pretty damn open when it comes to the Trek reboot, 2009 was a fun, good flick, Into Darkness was enjoyable but flawed as all f*** (and I won't even start on the ending), but that trailer doesn't even feel like a Star Trek movie at all.
Granted, I don't remember the trailers for 2009 and Into Darkness, but they couldn't possibly be as not-Trek as that was

Looks like a good sci fi action movie
If it wasn't for the known actors and seeing the Enterprise/Federation emblems, I wouldn't have guessed it was a Star Trek movie until guess #10 at the earliest. And even then it would be "ah shit I dunno, star trek maybe?"

The only good thing about the trailer is that it looks as though the Abramsprise gets destroyed.
If the replacement looks like the refit Constitution, that will be a huge improvement.

That's underwhelming.
And I've enjoyed the reboots so far.

That was a bizarre trailer. Though it is odd seeing people act like the (good) Star Trek movies weren't action-based outside of the comedic Star Trek IV and the political/conspiracy drama Star Trek VI. The Trek movies and the Trek TV shows have always been two very different beasts.

TMP wasn't action based. It was coma-inducing. TWOK had action, but it was like two submarines stalking each other. There was a dramatic tension to it. I think two photon torpedoes may have been fired in TSFS, and maybe another two in TFF.

Star Trek tends to do intrigue very well (VI is still my favorite of the films) which makes me wonder why it hasn't really been attempted at all since DS9.
The trailer left me more confused than anything. Although I'm willing to bet it's a fakeout, destroying the Enterprise is a little too Star Trek III and I really, really wish they'd DQ Something Different rather than trying to keep attempting the movie version of cheap nostalgia pops.

Meh it was good in parts, like Bones' disco jumpsuit.
