Marv Albert faced felony sexual assault charges, got a no jail time plea deal out of it, and was back announcing a couple years later.

Walt Disney: anti Semite who actively fueled the Red Scare paranoia and was so right wing in his politics he made Ronald Reagan look moderate.
Everything else might be true, but he was not an anti-Semite. That's been debunked numerous times.

probably not as bad as somebody listed in here, but Simon Cowell, the British media (can't speak for other countries) talking about him being a doting dad to his young son, forgetting that he got his good friend's wife pregnant (and is with her now).
Also on the Matthew Broderick crash one, the family of who was killed have forgiven him and he as spoken of the regret of it.

A lot of those charges are guilt by association. His close association with the Motion Picture Alliance, who were vehemently Anti-Semetic at the time and him welcoming Leni Riefenstahl(The brainchild behind Triumph of the Will) to his studio are the reason those charges were brought about. That's all on him. You're judged by the company you keep and he might not have been Anti-Semitic, but the people around him were. The charges of him being a part of the Red Scare is right on the money however, I can't really hold that against him because Communism was a very real threat in the world at the time.

That and it was better safe than sorry at the time. Buy into the Red Scare stuff instead of speaking against it and getting blacklisted by McCarthy-era Hollywood. Speaking of antisemites, Henry Ford was a pretty infamous one. And a Nazi sympathizer/supporter. That gets looked over a lot.

Some of you are really pushing it in regards to what it means to be a "Teflon Celeb." Teflon basically means that accusations role of your back and people ignore it when mentioning your legacy. Lance Armstrong's steroid use now defines his career. It shouldn't. Everyone did it so it's not like he had some real unfair advantage. R Kelly will always be remembered as the guy who pissed on a young girl. Roman Polanski is only Teflon in Hollywood. Everyone else in the world hates that guy for what he did. JFK has had best-selling books written on his many issues. I barely go a day without someone mentioning the fact that Ray Lewis got away with murder whenever he's brought up. Lastly, as far as MLK goes: I don't give two shits the he cheated on his wife. The man changed the country. That's all I give a damn about. Call it "whitewashing" or whatever. I don't give a flying f***. In the case of Armstrong I especially don't see "Teflon" status because they went after a freaking cyclist like they were trying to take down a drug kingpin. No other championship cyclist has gotten that kind scrutiny and wouldn't have stood-up to it any better. Ya, they were all on PED's, if doping was the only difference between Armstrong and others that difference would have been made-up.

With Armstrong people aren't pissed because he used PEDs, they're pissed because he was a complete douchestain asshole bully, who destroyed the lives of people who dare question him. But he's definitely not "Teflon".

Cycling's doping problem is so bad it makes Baseball's steroid era look minor league. When they took away some of Armstrong's TDF wins, they just took the results off the records entirely because the next 5 or 6 runners up were all as guilty of doping.

True, while I do question the way he got singled-out because of his success there is no denying he was shady and threw anyone under the bus that threatened to expose the truth. If he'd just copped to the PED's he wouldn't have had nearly as far a fall from grace.

Iggy Pop admits in his book and basically boasts about having sex with a 13 year old groupie in the 70s. Jimmy Page kidnapped a teenage girl and dragged her around the country to have sex with him forcing her to hide because he didn't want to get arrested.
