Bayern blanks AC Milan 3-0 to make it to the finals of the pre-season Audi Cup against Real Madrid tomorrow. Gotze scored in one of his better performances in recent memory.
Still bummed about losing the DFL-Supercup to Wolfsburg on penalties but, beating Real Madrid would be cheer me up a bit. Even if it is preseason, it's nice to stick it to them.

and another season where the europa league is scots team-less as ABERDEEN bow out, going out 2-3 on aggregate to FC KAIRAT
in more funnier newz the WEST HAM third string finally ran out of luck, being beaten by ASTRA GIURGIU 3-4 aggregate
but fantastic performance by SOUTHAMPTON, another two goals away to VITESSE, winning 0-5 aggregate
ZURICH, SAMPDORIA, STURM GRAZ and BRONDBY all go out too!

Bröndby are through to the next round, mate. They sold their number one goalie to Eintracht Frankfurt, but the rest of the team will prepare for the next round of qualifications.
Trabzonspor getting dropped is a huge surprise to me, since they went against real minnows in Rabotnicki.

CELTIC go to MALMO, they'll still have to up their game though, and MAN UTD get their decent draw against CLUB BRUGGE SOUTHAMPTON's reward is a tie against FC MIDTJYLLAND some nice ties too including STEAUA BUCHARESTI v ROSENBORG, DINAMO MINSK v RED BULL SALZBURG ..... and a nice friendly game between ATROMITOS of greece versus FENERBAHCE of turkey

Looking forward to tomorrow. Just hope England can wrap up The Ashes before lunch so I can catch all of the United/Spurs game. Have to wonder how we'll fare against Southampton on Sunday too. Good first test for us.
As for predictions:
1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Man Utd 4. Man City 5. Liverpool 6. Everton 7. Tottenham 8. Southampton 9. Stoke 10. C Palace 11. Swansea 12. Sunderland 13. Aston Villa 14. West Brom 15. Watford 16. Newcastle 17. West Ham 18. Bournemouth 19. Norwich 20. Leicester
Other odd ball predictions:
Middlesbrough return to the Premier League as runaway Champions
Sterling does very well at City and is a bright light in an otherwise dark season for the club.
Arsenal push Chelsea very close but still can't get the job done.
Sunderland perform the opposite way to usual, surprising people in the first half of the season and peforming very well only to fall away badly and threaten to drag themselves into a relegation battle only to finish comfortably mid table towards the end.
Neither West Ham nor Newcastle are safe with 36 games played.
Steve McLaren is sacked before the January transfer window closes.
Troy Deeney finishes in the top 5 for goals in the league.
(And a couple of Scottish one's, Rangers walk the Scottish Championship losing two or less games and Hearts finish only behind Celtic in their first season back in the SPL).

With all the money they've spent and all the talent they've gathered, anything less than a premier league championship and a deep run in the Champions league is a failure for Man U.
You can't build a team with Wayne Rooney, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Juan Mata, and Morgan Schneiderlin just to be second best. That becomes even more true if they're able to get Pedro from Barcelona.

I think he has Liverpool 7 behind Everton. I have those two switched personally. Talented enough team, especially after the Benteke signing. Other teams are just more talented overall.

My out-there prediction for this season: Bournemouth will stay up, teams are going to hate going to Dean Courth and it's going to work to their advantage in the same way Plough Lane did for Wimbledon in the eighties.

An own goal opens the scoring account this Premier League season. Kyle Walker really didn't want Wayne Rooney to get that honour.

The only thing you can say about that own goal is "Lads, It's Tottenham."
