The best thing about these threads is that one poster that will dig through the 2 or 3 out of a million instances where HHH might have done the right thing. He's got an ego problem, it's clear as day watching his career and even clearer reading reports (not just from newz, from co-workers, documentaries etc). At what point do you stop and admit it? You don't even have to stop being a fan of him, but just admit it, lol. And that's not even getting into this rumor as it appears to have been debunked, but COME ON. The best part of this is that I'm not even an overly big HHH fan. Look, I freely admit he has an ego. A big one to boot. But I just grow wary of every possible rumor/story being treated as the gosepl of truth and seeing these threads devolve into page upon page of "f*** that evil s.o.b HHH".

HHH isn't evil. He's just an insecure mark for his on-screen character. Same applies to his wife.

Unless he talked about this after starting Hall of Fame talk, I listened to that show, and I can't recall Dave saying ANY OF THIS. I do recall Dave saying that the plan was that Seth Rollins would be involved with the title at WrestleMania, whether as champion or challenging for it, which opened up talk that he could have won the Royal Rumble. Up to recent times, Meltzer was hinting towards it still being The Rock vs. Triple H. Quoting this because more people need to see it. Also, just yesterday the news was Roman was taking the title and he and Seth were set to headline until.the Rumble. Seth/Hunter has been talked about for ages but never for the title. Quoting this because too many people in this thread haven't seen it.

Hidden in all this is the Rock/Brock news. That's pretty huge if they can pull it off. And it explains why the blew off 'Taker/Brock early. And that would have to be the main event, it would set the record for the most money earned by competitors in a match.

I doubt this thread would be 8 pages long if HHH wasn't the subject and it's kinda silly to have arguments regarding whether HHH has an ego or not.

Everyone going "well this sounds like something that's dumb enough for them to follow through with" should think about that when looking at the convenient timing of this story.
I don't believe this at all, and if there is any truth to it then they're stupid, but this basically came out of nowhere. Too much of this is fishy to me.

You know, when Clash talks about how all of the fun is gone from the WWE section, Triple H threads are a textbook example of that.
God, these threads are rough.

I agree people can be too quick to jump on the hate train with him, but when you've got such a large laundry list of shit you've pulled, it's going to happen. My point was more...why try to defend his ego when it's so blatantly obvious? I'm a big Bret Hart fan, but the man is a bigger mark for himself than anyone, even Trips. CM Punk? Wouldn't want to be in the same room as him for more than a second, and I'm a huge fan. Jericho's basically a douchey shill-machine these days. There's nothing wrong with stepping back and seeing the flaws in your favourites, but I always see HHH fans just fight it instead of admitting it.

I completely forgot HHH wrestles, it's refreshing to not have him in the ring all the time.

You know, when Clash talks about how all of the fun is gone from the WWE section, Triple H threads are a textbook example of that. God, these threads are rough. There's not much fun to be had when it comes to HHH putting himself over at the expense of others. The Walkout - Poor benevolent HHH. Those damn ungrateful workers. All he wants to do is....run a corrupt organisation. The Summer of Punk - Poor benevolent HHH. Punk said nasty things about HHH's wife. The sweet generous Stephanie McMahon. Oh and here's Kevin Nash. Sting - Thankyou for defeating me HHH. I must shake your hand, then praise you publically. SHIELD - The hottest act WWE have seen for years. What can we do with them? I know, let's break them up and turn one of them into the stale, done-to-death, corporate champion who seemingly never wants to wrestle, and the corporation don't seem to even like him that much.

Triple H wouldn't let his daughters buy Hungry Hungry Hippos because he had to be the only Triple H in his house.

The topic is about whether HHH was planning to go against the champion at WrestleMania or not. It's only natural that WWE fans would have SOMETHING to say about that. It's not like the topic went like this: "Guys, I heard HHH took a shit yesterday!" "That bastard! Only Daniel Bryan is allowed to take a shit!" This is kind of relevant to the landscape of the company, here.

On one hand, this really seems to be something just to rile people up since we can't prove it was or wasn't going to happen. On the other hand, this is WWE, so I wouldn't put anything this stupid past them. In other words...

That's not the point I was making. The fact of the matter is that he treated the match as a joke, essentially saying that after he had beaten Brock, Brock needed Heyman to assist him otherwise he may have lost to Triple H again. Had Triple H won the match, the narrative of him having a concussion doesn't change things. He dismissed the loss claiming it wasn't a real loss. And Axel did suck but Triple H didn't help matters by having him fluke a victory his way out of the gate. That's setting him up for failure. I'm just not sure what HHH was supposed to say. "Brock kicked my ass. He completely dominated me, and it's clear I suck"? Austin,Rock, Hogan,Flair, Savage....etc. Guys of that ilk would have almost always done the same thing. Hogan even got killed by Brock with a bearhug and never got a comeback. Flair and Rock are two of he most unselfish guys ever. I can't say "I know what would've happened", but f*** it; aside from Hogan, everyone of those guys would've sold and put Brock over. Flair and Rock have jobbed to everybody. Savage sold beatings like no other and Austin was a guy that was all about being believable. This was even at an older age. HHH is an entirely different animal. Even at an older age. I am a human being that sees things from every side. But HHH is just...that kind of guy. Just going by things that we've seen of course.

Triple H wouldn't let his daughters buy Hungry Hungry Hippos because he had to be the only Triple H in his house. It's all about the game and how you play it. All about eating and if you can do it All about your stomach and if you can fill it. It's all about balls and who's gonna eat them. I am the hippo, you don't wanna feed me. I am hungry, no way you can starve me. I am heavy pounds, no way you can lose me. I am the balls and I know you've ate me.
