Breeze's main roster run summarized in one gif Pushed up only to fall ungracefully. Clearly Tyler's fault. Anyone who saw Henry's retirement speech should know not to play trust games with him.

What does it say about a man who takes a Fall for a team which was consisting of The Ascension as Team Members?
It says you're in a bad place...

Well I think all hope is lost with him taking the fall in a match where he the THE ASCENSION as his partners, a team that has been booked as the biggest losers on the roster. When you're lower on the totem pole then those guys that is not good not good at all. I'm expecting a near Santino/Bushwhacker Luke performance for poor Tyler in the Rumble.

Will jobbing him out ruin the Tyler Breeze gimmick?

Will jobbing him out ruin the Tyler Breeze gimmick? I know this is a joke response, but it sort of already did. He never got a chance to not look like a chump.

Breeze taking the pinfall now I can buy as just him gaining exposure with the crowd. He hasn't gotten to show off much of his offense yet, and when he starts cheating to win matches fans will believe he really could not have won without cheating since his record is so-so so soon after his debut. Entrenching Tyler Breeze into the midcard heel role which really did (not to beat a dead horse) pay off well for Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels when he broke the glass ceiling. I'd like to think Breeze could be the next The Brian Kendrick after he puts on some sick ladder match ppvs (maybe we'll see flashes of his future greatness in the Rumble Match).
But the 8-Man tag I thought was a fun match for everyone but Tyler-- I was being impressed by Konnor's offense. Viktor sounds intense af when he shouts and gets vocal in the ring-- especially when he does it all Ascensionized. I kinda miss their squash matches now for some odd reason... Breeze didn't get any offense in again and lost pretty pathetically from the 4-man botch in the corner (if you count Neville who I thought was there to get Henry to line up properly) to the corkscrew shooting star-press clean pin.

Yeah, I think this is going to go down in wrestling history as one of the most contemptible examples of debuting a star. Any potential he has is effectively dead without some kind of repackaging.

He needs to go back to NXT. He's become the male Emma. It's a crying shame because He was clearly protected and well liked by Triple H in Florida.

There absolutely was money in this gimmick and it got thrown out the window because Vince is senile. The permissiveness of Vince's shit booking because "he was a genius at one point" by some is obnoxious.

I don't disagree with the fact that Breeze has been screwed over badly with this call-up. The only thing I'll ever dispute is the opinion that he's completely done once and for all, because as much as we think he is... he isn't, not until he gets his walking papers.

I say give it 5 months. If he's still in the same scenario around June then yeah there's an issue.

I don't doubt that Matt Clement will get another chance with something different, or even a different incarnation of Tyler Breeze ala Adam Rose's 20 gimmick changes in a month. But the character he came in with was money, and that was squandered. Just read a house show report that Tyler comes out, gets rolled up by Darren Young, demands another match and is then squashed and pinned by Titus. Two losses in one night. That's just a giant f*** you to Tyler, his fans, and to Hunter.

I don't believe he is done, but I feel really bad for him. Especially after watching Breaking Ground and seeing how hard he has worked. If they didn't have anything for him, why even bother taking him out of NXT? If they realize now that their plans won't work, don't bury the guy. Send him back. All you're doing is burying his time and effort and your money and time spent on him. Completely uncalled for, in my opinion.
