I basically agree with TC. *shrug* Maybe I'm a savage. The reactions in this thread make me think we're not far off from becoming the society from Demolition Man, incredibly sensitive people, who inspire joy-joy feelings in all those around them.

Seven pages, but I assume everyone has mentioned that it's infinitely safer and more sanitary, right? It's safer for the NFL to stop playing football to save guys brains, yet they still play. That's a stupid comparison. Wrestling is completely a theatrical, entertainment medium. It's not legitimate sports competition. Using 'fake blood' is a safer alternative to either (a) Intentionally cutting oneself or one's opponent in order to cause bleeding or (b) deliberately attempting to cause oneself or one's opponent to bleed. Other than being safer and more sanitary, using 'fake blood' also stops wrestlers from scarring themselves (i.e. their foreheads). The OP was asking for reasons to use fake blood. I tried to provide some.

Wrestling isn't a traditional sport. It's theater. No theater warrants profuse bleeding. What is it you like about blood so much?

So it's overly sensative to not want people to mutilate themselves when, thanks to technology and an evolving understanding and ability of performance, they don't have to?

You can wear a helmet. You can't wrestle in a hazmat suit. They're not bring back the old buckets of human blood style. Nor should they.

I wouldn't think whether or not one wants real blood in their performance art would really lead down some primrose pussification path.
The appearance of violence is still there, just as pretend as it ever was.

Two guys and a ref all in hazmat suits wrestling near some "nuclear fallout". Tuxedo match rules obviously.

REIGNS ISN'T A REAL WRESTLER BECAUSE HE DIDN'T BLADE. EVERYONE IS TOO SENSITIVE ABOUT THIS BUT ME!!

You guys are so used to us removing the Baby Ruth from the pool so quickly that when we allow ONE gimmick troll to post more than 10 times y'all lose it. You're spoiled FAN. Hey! Sometimes we have fond memories of gimmick trolls for years after they are gone. I mean, doytch is still a legend 'round these parts.

When "tradition" is the best argument you have, you have no argument.
Why not bring back unprotected chair shots while we are at it

Isn't there something to be said against the tradition argument that you even KNOW what blading is. I mean they bladed to pretend to get hurt for real, the fact you know it's not really hard way should prove how stupid it even is at this point.

Is the drama "Oh man he's covered in blood!" or "Oh man he secretly cut his head with a razor!"

Please name several wrestlers that died from any of those issues you mentioned. Scarring is a sign of respect in the business, look at Devon Dudley. Uhh no. Scarring is a sign of being stuck in carny days. Why needlessly risk it? OK example here: Punk was an infamous ladies man prior to dating AJ. He's almost certainly not the only one. What if someone like that caught HIV from a girl at a club, then bladed in a match the next week? How long is it before a hospital or wellness check catches it, and how many people did he bleed on before he went to the doctor? Especially when your doctor thinks MRSA is a calcium deposit, gives you meds that literally put you in the drizzling shits for months, and then sends you back out there. Accidental or deliberate hardways sending a chain of a blood borne disease through half the roster and their girlfriends? WWE health checks aren't exactly like porn stars where they get tested fo EVERYTHING every 4 weeks Or they just use fake blood and don't have a completely unnecessary risk wat
