That sucks. I like Miz more than Ryder, I generally think Miz is the perfect IC Champ and that he's the only current guy not named Cody Rhodes that the white strap IC Title looks good on, but Ryder deserved to have a good run with the belt. I wish Miz had offered to decline the belt in exchange for the chance to actually feud with Zack.

I'm not disappointed because I completely expected this.
But with that said, they book like this so often, that when anything unexpected does happen we've been conditioned to immediately assume it's not going to last. They'd be better off just booking to the guys they actually want to push instead, and give us a reason to get excited when the unexpected does occur.

They should have at least let him have the title until the next ppv. With the rematch on Smackdown, he might not even make the next PPV now.

After that angle I kinda want to see JBL vs Zack's dad, Bradshaw was calling him a 'bozo in a superman shirt' with some fire!
And just like Paige winning the Diva's title the night after YEStlemania, Maryse gets a callup from NXT (technically the last show she was on was NXT as the host) and enacts her plan to be co-white-WWE-strap-champs with her hubby The Miz. Next step, steal Charlotte's WWE Women's title, and she and her IC champion husband can pose together in ridiculous-looking expensive designer outfits in all-white/gold!

This is what's wrong with giving 'thank you' transitional reigns to guys who have some following -- not hugely over, but well-liked. Instead of creating a happy moment, it just pissed them off that their guy didn't get a proper run.
They should make this Sheamus' gimmick and let him win every quick-transition title match.
