I laughed and i loved seeing him lose. I was a fan of his but after he dropped into obscurity i stopped caring. So i was happy he lost. Not happy he lost to Miz as I hope for Samoa Joe to come in and destroy him for the title

Why? I'm glad he got to win it but this seems so pointless and stupid.

The one nice ending from Wrestlemania, gone a day later. Good times Vinnie.

The Wrestlemania moment was good enough, I feel, it's what people remember.
That being said, was this Miz's revenge for the exact same shit happening to him three years ago during his face run?
He won the IC title at Mania and lost it to Barrett on Raw.

Figures that one of the very few "feel good moments" from WM was thrown away the next night...not surprised, though.

I was okay with it until they said the rematch was on Smackdown. That sounds like they are getting it out of the way. I would've enjoyed Miz (w/Maryse) vs. Ryder (w/ Dad) going all the way to the Payback PPV...with Ryder winning it back

You realize when he retires people will remember Mania and the angle the night after with his dad and Maryse, not to mention telling the story of meeting "Razor Ramon", as one of his career highlights? This entire story, even if it's a two night story, is the biggest thing Ryder has done since winning the US Championship.

This is incredibly stupid. Like absurdly so. I wonder how WWE functions sometimes. Ryder was a guy they got a second chance with and they potentially pissed it away one day later. He was clearly well received by, granted, two smarky crowds but isn't the idea that casual fans are influenced by the reaction of the crowds they see on TV? Isn't they why they debut people one night after Wrestlemania, so the crowds who know who they are can give them a strong reception with the hopes that more audiences in the future react as strongly? Here's a simple way to book Ryder into being a solid midcard guy, complete with the intended result of Miz getting the title.
Tonight, have Ryder get one over on the Miz, pissing the Miz off. Next week, Miz cuts a promo on Ryder saying that Miz is a former WWE Champion so there's no way he's going to accept losing to a fluke champion like Ryder, setting up a rematch at the next PPV. Have Ryder go over again which sets Miz off. I know beat downs are overdone but it's needed here to Ryder off Raw for a week or two with "injuries." While he's gone, have Miz say he "exposed Ryder as the fraud of a champion that he is." Ryder comes back, beats Miz right in his smug face and demands a match with him because now, it's personal for Ryder but the only way Miz will agree is if Ryder puts up the IC title. So the match is set, Papa Ryder is in the front row to see his boy get revenge on Miz but that proves to be his undoing. Somehow, Miz brings Ryder, Sr. into the mix allowing a brief enough distraction for him to clobber Zack and win.
Boom, Ryder gets a few strong babyface moments while the Miz looks like an arrogant heel. You even have the added benefit of Ryder losing cleanly but not in a way that makes the shit Miz talked on him look true.

It turned off Raw when Ryder lost to Miz. Didn't turn it back on either. Ryder loosing proves 1 of 2 things: either
1) Vince doesn't have a goddamn clue as to what he's doing anymore or
2) Vince doesn't give a flying f*** about the fans anymore.
Ryder losing the IC title tonight along with things that went down at WM such as Ambrose losing, Reigns winning, Jericho winning and Shane losing have caused me to completely lose interest in WWE. I'm taking a break for awhile guys.

Ok
I wasn't expecting a Honky Tonk Man length run.
But come on, and for f***s sake why the Miz?
He seems to have replaced Kofi Kingston as the "Eh, just stick it on this guy for now until we decide who we want to push next"

Here's a bit of trivia for you... Of the three championships Ryder has won in WWE (1x Tag Team, 1x United States and 1x Intercontinental), he has lost each of them on his first televised defense.

Things like this just annoy me and I'm not even a Ryder fan. It's just like, why get invested in these guys? It doesn't matter overall. Swap out Ryder for whoever it is you're hoping gets a push, and it would suck to see it taken away in an instant. I truly believe if Kofi were to finally win MITB, he'd fail at cashing it in, cause that's how this company works.
