How about a bunch of turkeys dressed as pilgrims sitting down for a feast of stuffed human? Oh wow, that's going to be disturbing. I can't wait!

Sketching on the moon landing one is done. I'll be busy this afternoon so odds are I'll start inking either today in the evening or tomorrow.

That Baron Von awesome design is great. On the set where they are filming the fake moon landing, while the stage hands are moving the rocks about in the background, the astronaut actor is arguing with the director about the inclusion of the guy in the cheap alien costume. There it is! I'm not completely happy with this one, to be honest. I don't know, something about it rubs me the wrong way. I feel like I didn't make it explicit enough that it's the moon landing set. But still, I didn't want to make you guys wait for too long (especially since one of my goals with this thread is to train to work faster) so I didn't want to spend too long dwelling on how I could improve it either and just wanted to produce something decent in due time. I'd like to kindly request a picture of the three pictured above: Skye, Finn, and Ava from my web novel Singularity, which everybody can read here: twitter.com/MarcQuill/media(Basically, a picture of the three posing above) Say, would you happen to have other reference pictures or descriptions of them? I mean, I can always improvise something but I've got the feeling you're looking for specific designs and your site only gives basic info on their appearance. For instance, I have another size-related conundrum as Ava is stated to stand 5’5 and weigh 198 lbs. Those are pretty much my measurements and needless to say, I am way fatter and stockier than what the screenshot shows, so I assume she would be too unless, again, her enhancement make her look lighter than she is. Of course, if you want me to come up with my own version of the characters, then there's no problem, it's just that since those are characters that you've created, I assume that you must have a specific vision of their appearance in mind.

I do like your style and especially the character designs, they've been amazing all the way from the start.

Sketching on the Singularity characters is done and inking has started. It made me realize how rarely I draw group shots and how difficult it is to keep scale consistent. I don't know how artists who make these massive drawings with hundreds of characters posing keep their sanity.

I used the screenshot as a basis for their poses and I added the fist pump thing for Ada as I felt it made it more dynamic and made her stand out better than if she'd just had her arm hanging or resting on her hip. I really like how Ada turned out as I was very unhappy with how I drew her in pencil so I feel like the inking saved it (I changed her face and especially her hair almost completely), although she still doesn't look much like a teenager. Let's pretend she is in the movie adaptation and is therefore played by an actress ten years older than she's supposed to be. Weirdly, Skye ended up looking very different from how she is portrayed in your screenshots or your Twitter avatar... and a lot more like my usual style. Incidently, I intended to make her look a bit more butch than this but I actually like her current look. Don't know if that's how you picture them but I hope you like it either way! Full Size: neije.deviantart.com/art/Sketch-Challenge-Singularity-643106592Oh and if anyone checking the thread has any tips or criticism, feel free to give them. Don't worry, I won't think it's rude (as long as it isn't)! I do like your style and especially the character designs, they've been amazing all the way from the start. Thanks, mate! Character design is my favourite part of drawing. In fact, one of my main motives for making this thread is to get me used to doing stuff other than that.

Warning you in advance, the next sketch might take a little while. Today, I'd like to work on a more personal piece (and also write another part of my Kingdom hearts Let's Play) and I don't know how much free time I'll have tomorrow. At the latest work on the next sketch should begin next Wednesday.

Here's what I did today. Yes, it's another FF8 thing. I have a problem. But seriously, I've seen a lot of great Halloween-themed FF8 fan art and since I'm on an FF8 kick AND I'm trying to draw more expressive and lively scenes AND it's Halloween, I figured it was a great opportunity to try my own thing. Don't know if I'll be able to finish inking it tonight so I wanted to at least share the sketched version: Don't know how well it comes across on this sketch, but Squall has two (fake) bite marks on his neck. The idea behind this is that it's a picture being taken during a Halloween party at the Garden but Squall of course doesn't like to dress up, so Linoa came up with the idea of just having him wear the fake wound while she goes as a vamp, that way he can participate but doesn't have to actually dress up, plus he likes the idea that it gives her an excuse to nibble on his neck all night. I also wanted to give Squall a little smirk as if to say "Yeah okay, this IS kind of fun".

My God... I have started work on the Lupin/Mega Man/Sonic thing and I think I'm going to have to do something drastic, something I have never done before: a composite shot. Drawing each character individually and then copy-pasting them in the same picture. May the Gods protect me.

Very nice work, SsnakeBite. I do have one request, hopefully it's not too challenging. I want a picture of Lupin the Third, Mega Man, and Sonic the Hedgehog in action poses, like if they're on a movie poster. And it is finished! I think it came out amazingly well considering I'm not a fan of any of those franchises (I do like Mega Man and Sonic games but I wouldn't consider myself a fan and I know next to nothing about Lupin III) and I was trying to emulate three styles completely different from my own. I did use reference pictures but honestly, I expected it to end up a lot messier than it is. Trivia: Lupin's pose is vaguely based on the one Spike Spiegel strikes on the poster for "Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door" as I feel the two characters are very similar both physically and mentally, to the point that I wonder if Lupin was part of the inspiration for Spike, so I thought it'd be a nice little reference and since it's a movie poster featuring three characters posing, I felt it was appropriate. You may also have noticed that Sonic's butt is more detailed that any of us should feel comfortable with. This is a reference both to the fact that every time a movie poster involves a group with a single female character, you can be sure she'll be doing the ridiculous-looking butt-and-boobs pose and to the absurd and frankly somewhat disturbing sexualization of Sonic characters in the fandom (and even official work to some extent). So there you have it, it's like social satire, only stupid. Full size: neije.deviantart.com/art/Sketch-Challenge-The-Next-Big-Cinematic-Universe-643999261
