I've started work on Voltron. It might turn out to not be as difficult as I first thought, although because I'm stupid, I made things harder on myself by deciding to put them in some kind of action pose they're not just standing there.

Original Voltron done, on to the Legendary Defender version. It took longer than expected as I hit a snag when drawing the legs, which turned out to be more complicated than I thought. Luckily the LD version seems to be closer to my natural drawing style so I'm hoping it'll be easier.

Here's a pencil version of the sketch before I start inking it. Work on the Legendary Defender actually started pretty quickly and I would have completed it a lot sooner but then some personal emergencies came up. I feel like the pose on LD Voltron isn't as good as it could have been but I hope it still looks good to you guys.  |

I am very proud of this one and it showed me that I am capable of making this sort of highly detailed work and I don't think simplifying the designs would have done this request justice. Thanks, Lupin! Also, I have an important announcement to make. After much deliberation with myself, I have decided to stop taking requests for the time being. Don't worry, it's not the result of burnout or something like that. In fact, if anything it's because there's so much stuff I wanna do and I can't do it all, including a pipe dream I have of making a comic.
Thank you all for your support, your encouragements and all the crazy ideas you sent me. I might post more stuff here if only so I don't spam the forums with my stuff and I might also make coloured versions of some of the sketches; we'll see.
Oh and don't worry, Mr. B, I will still make the one you requested before this announcement.

I have actually decided to finish my Undertale playthrough that I had left behind for months to at least get to the characters you mentioned, but then I beat it. And then I started a True Pacifist run. I do have some great ideas for this sketch though so I think y'all should like it. |

For now anyway because as I alluded to earlier, I do expect to do it again eventually. Thanks again everyone for your ideas and I am very happy that so many people got into this and that you guys were so supportive and appreciative of the work that went into this. It actually has helped me a lot in improving my art, in terms of composition, proportions, perspective and generally learning to draw more efficiently, without bogging myself down with details right off the bat. And since some of you guys have mentioned you've been drawing on your own or wanting to colour my sketches and stuff like that, feel free to use this thread to post your own stuff (assuming you don't want to make your own threads, of course ). Also, I'lls till be drawing but probably not posting stuff here unless it's related to the requests in some manners so if you want to see more of my stuff, remember to check my DeviantArt and Tumblr! On an unrelated note, man, someone must have linked to my Voltron sketch on a forum or Tumblr or something because it suddenly got 43 views today alone when it only had 20 overall since posting it. EDIT: WOW!! That was just the beginning! The counter is now up to 294, for a total of 314 views! And finally, a few words on this sketch. As I mentioned before, I actually went and finished my playthrough of Undertale in order to make sure I got the characters right and see if it could give me ideas and after I was done, I immediately wanted to get to work because I had plenty of ideas I wanted to put to paper, starting with Mettaton's pose and I'm especially happy it turned out so well. I would have liked to show Mad Dummy from the front but I also didn't want the Undertale characters to be all bundled at the same side of the table. I also originally wanted the Boo on the bottom right corner to be shaking and/or sweating to show that he is starstruck by Mettaton but it ended up looking weird so I scraped that idea. |
