Wouldn't surprise me at all. Like I said, they are very similar both physically and personality-wise and Lupin is a very influential franchise in general.



In other news (or any news, come to think of it), I will start work on the reverse Thanksgiving tomorrow. In the meantime, I will try and figure out a way to make this that doesn't get me banned from the forums.

But more seriously, Sonic is one of the reasons why I thought this was going to end up a lot worsed than it did. I have never drawn Sonic before or if I did, it was when I was a very small child and even then, it can't have been more than once or twice as like I said, I'm not a huge fan of the franchise. Thankfully I found some good reference pics although the pose is all mine. Also, I originally wanted him to have his right hand resting on his hip to accentuate the butt-and-boobs joke but his hands are so gigantic that it ended up covering almost all of his body.

I noticed lately that while I feel like I'm getting faster at sketching, the inking is getting increasingly long. Then again, maybe it's not much of a shock considering I've also been putting more detail into the sketches. Aside from that, it was a lot of fun to make this. And yeah, I realize my turkeys look more like pigeons.

I also took the opportunity to experiment with thicker lines and I do think it looks a bit better, at least for this kind of cartoon.

There it is! That was an easy one as portraits are by far what I am most comfortable with AND I sometimes like to age the characters I draw just to see what it looks like. And man, thicker outlines really do work a lot better with my style, don't they? One thing I found genuinely shocking is that if my prediction is correct, I'm going to end up looking a Hell of a lot more like my father than I expected:

Hurray! That last sketch finally earned me my first two watchers on DeviantArt! Hopefully if I keep this rythm I'll finally get a few more views. Strange that I've had my account for 10 years and only now do I really actively use it.

Weirdly, my sketch of the Singularity characters has way more views than any other (it's still only 66 but hey, by my standards it's enormous as most of them get about 10). No idea why this of all things would randomly be the most viewed thing I made. I thought for sure it'd be something like the Mega Man-Lupin-Sonic thing considering those are frequently searched names.

Sketching the WWF gimmicks one right now. It's turning out better than expected so far as with stuff like that, I'm always afraid I'm going to cock up the perspective or proportions but it seems to be going alright. I tried to avoid using overly obvious examples although honestly, most of them are probably still pretty famous ones. My one regret is that I originally wanted to include Max Moon in there but I couldn't really find a way to make him fit with the rest of the sketch and to be brutally honest, I didn't want to spend the next three years of my life drawing every single detail of his ridiculously (and I do mean ridiculously) complicated costume.
