And yes, I know, this will provoke many people to ask "Why are you so private, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO HIDE, HUH? WHAT SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE SKELETONS DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET???" I really don't think anyone here would do that.

I really don't think anyone here would do that. Some people are quick to feel a way about people that don't want to be in pictures. That's one of the reasons I avoid family functions.

Since I'm not even going to try and enter the racial side of the debate, because as a white Australian male it's something I can't even begin to get a fair perspective on... This is what probably rings the most alarm bells for me. I'm VERY photo-shy in nature, and the idea that someone I don't even know has taken a photo of me without my knowledge or consent for the express purpose of mockery scares the f*** out of me. I kind of hate having (normal) photos of me taken. I'm a pretty private person and I hate having people intrude into my life like that. And yes, I know, this will provoke many people to ask "Why are you so private, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO HIDE, HUH? WHAT SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE SKELETONS DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET???" WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO HIDE, HUH? WHAT SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE SKELETONS DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET??? TELL ME ABOUT BANE! WHY DOES HE WEAR THE MASK!?

I on the other hand wish I had more pictures of myself (with others). Not because I particularly like my appearance, more because I want some kind of visual record for myself.
