I like it about time something like this happens because the heroes of this series have pretty much looked untouchable and not for a fun time when the outcome is never in doubt especially this far into the series.
I know it wont stick but I would love for this heel turn to last untill the final movie in the series.

Would like to see the Top Gear/Grand Tour lads cameo in this franchise for laughs. I'm actually surprised it didn't happen in the London act of F&F6. Maybe The Stig in the street race. |

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! Seriously what the f***? This could be the worst thing ever or better than expected. I don't know what to expect but I hope for the franchises sake this doesn't suck since Furious 7 was perfect and could been the perfect end to the franchise.

Is it an evil twin situation ? I cant see Dom turning on the whole team especially Letty . Movie looks pretty damn good, however as with all trailers these days - it gave way too much

This movie should have a post-credits stinger that introduces John Cena into the Fast & Furious world as a rival of The Rock's character, Luke Hobbs. Then Fast & Furious 9 (or whatever the hell they call it) will have Cena be a key character.

...it's a straight up STAR TREK MIRROR MIRROR SCENARIO!!!
That's right, Hobbs went so Fast trying to catch Toretto that he pierced the Furious Barrier between worlds, and landed in the Mirror F&F universe where Toretto's the baddest bad guy of them all, Deckard Shaw is helping to take him down, and sadly, O'Connor is dead at the hands of Toretto! And Hobbs has to take down Mirror Toretto before he figures out how to get to our world by speeding through the Furious Barrier using a jetcar made by Evil Elon Musk!
I have never seen any of these movies!

Cena vs. The Rock had tons of homoerotic sexual tension and The Fast and Furious franchise was originally built on homoerotic sexual tension. At least according to American Dad. |

I always thought these movies looked horrible and only ever saw the first one in highschool, I lost a bet to my brother right before the last one came out and promised to marathon all of them (including the short films)... once I got past the first three the series just takes a turn into crazy action with each movie going more over the top... I noticed myself shouting at the tv...
"Its like Fast and the Furious Avengers!" - Fast Five
"No not Wonder Woman!!" - Fast and Furious 6
"This series seriously took the worst movie and somehow turned it into an amazing crazy plot point" - Furious 7
I even went out of my way to see Better Luck Tomorrow as Han became one of my favorite characters in the series. I thought the last one wrapped up the series nicely, but after seeing this I'm sold.

My guess is Mia and her kid(s) were kidnapped by Charlize's character. Dom has no choice but to do what she wants because they are hostages.
