Watched his matches at Global Wars, he stole the show on both cards. Give him a shirt/singlet and he will be more than fine.

... This is just trolling, right? It is fairly immature to call someone a troll just cause you don't agree with me. This is my thought on the matter. There are guys that look imposing despite carrying a lot of fat on their frame (Bray, and Samoa Joe for example). There are also guys who in my opinion, just look awful, such as Hero, and Kevin Owens. I cannot take their matches seriously, due to how awful they look. They look like some fan just put on some (ill-fitting) gear, and got in the ring. If someone who has never seen wrestling before tuned in for the first time saw Hero, they would think; "Jeez, that guy looks awful. Wrestling is stupid" No. I called you a "troll" because your statement was completely wrong. Kevin Owens and Chris Hero are athletic despite their size. Just because a guy doesn't look roided up to the gills doesn't mean you shouldn't take them seriously, they aren't athletic, or no one wants to see them. If someone tunes in and just looks at a guy and thinks it's stupid without watching a match, they're ignorant to begin with. They could just as easily look at a guy like Cena and think, "This man is dressed like a child, this is stupid." Also, I don't recall a lot of people tuning out Dusty Rhodes. Or Vader. Or Big Boss Man. Etc. Just because you look chiseled from stone doesn't mean you're automatically some bad-ass, unstoppable fighter. In my experience, it's usually the opposite. Being shredded also doesn't automatically make you an outstanding wrestler. The fact is that Kevin Owens and Chris Hero are two of the best/most talented wrestlers on the planet. Yes, they might carry a little more fat, but they're athletic in spite of it. Like I said, if some random person refuses to watch because they don't have perfect bodies, then that person is ignorant and wrestling fandom is probably better off without them. If you're not a fan of Owens or Hero, that's fine. But to disqualify them for their looks is ridiculous and that line of thinking would've never given us legends like I previously mentioned.

He is in no worse shape than Nia Jax, but if anyone said anything bad about her they would be labelled something not very nice because..... womens wrestling and WWE diva's are beyond criticisms these days. But is is fine to pull out the Scotty Steiner gif for the men. Nia's big enough all around compared to the other women that she can play a convincing monster. If you can play that role, being fat isn't really a problem. Hero's built like a naturally lanky dude who happens to have a belly. It's not just about fat but how a person carries that fat. That's the big difference between Hero and the other wrestlers fans like to point to and say "see, so-and-so was fat and it wasn't a problem". I'm well aware Hero can still move around just fine but bell to bell isn't the be all and end all and anyone who doesn't think his weight is a detriment is lying to themselves. I really hope people realize that Meltzer did not "report" that Hero was going to WWE. He was asked if he was given Hero not taking any bookings for 2017 and losing his last seven matches and Dave said he had a similar hunch but had no idea. That isn't irresponsible, it's just answering a question honestly. Barring a last minute change, Chris Hero is heading back to WWE, confirmed by a company source according to our Dave Meltzer. What you said is true based on what Meltzer said the other day on his podcast but you must have missed that more recent article.

My friend who isn't a wrestling fan watched the latest RAW pay per view with me and her exact words were: "It seems unrealistic that that guy(owens) would be able to compete with that guy (Rollins)" If she isn't a fan then why should it matter?

I'd also like to throw in that Kevin Owens was pretty damn over when he was being booked as a mean/bully ass-kicker. Granted, I think he's cooled off now, but that's the fault of awful booking, an awful title reign, and the fact they've turned him into a comedy character.
If you think that fans solely want to see guys who look like Rollins or Reigns, look at the ratings while they're on top and it'll tell a different story.

Hero is putting on some of the best matches of his life right now and seems an all-around good dude (from what little time I've seen, met him). WWE is getting an absolute stud of a wrestler and I'll be unbelievably happy to see him live (again).

Owens pretty much looks like every schoolyard bully ever, so yeah, he was plenty believable in that role.

Surely one of the most important goals of the WWE is to draw new fans? If the champ provokes that kind of reaction from the man on the street, It will be a hindrance.

Or maybe people should stop being ignorant and not judge a book by it's cover and actually watch the person work and see how good they are despite their body type.
Sorry but to me, nothing is more shallow than saying someone can't do this or that because of their weight while they're constantly showing they can do it and people STILL say they can't while they're doing it.
As far as I'm concerned if the Man on the Street is that much of an asshole that they judge a person that badly without seeing why and how they got to be a champion and called one of the best wrestlers working period right now, they don't have much of an opinion to me, they just come off as a dick, and I don't want them as fans of the product.
If you don't like the guy, that's one thing, we make fat jokes and such all the time, but saying they can't do it or because they look the way they do they can't feasibly do this work and be one of the best? That's wrong.

I just wish the guy would get new gear.
Yeah he's a great wrestler. WHATEVER. His gear is not flattering whatsoever. The last time I saw a guy look like that was when Akira Tozawa had a fat dude gimmick in DG with the little trunks. It's not a good look. That's all. Stay fat, I don't give a shit. Just maybe one size bigger for those trunks because right now he looks like drunk uncle creepy grabbing the paper in his underwear.

I do not understand how some people cannot get into a wrestler just because they do not have a six pack. Is this wrestling or gay porn? Wrestling is entertainment and entertainment is an aesthetic business. If Chris Hero starred in an action movie it would have to be a comedy because most people wouldn't be able to take it seriously. It's only within the hardcore wrestle bubble where workrate trumps everything else. Guys that don't look like much but can hang with the best is another part of the entertainment factor of wrestling. And has been for decades.

And then, well, that's between y'all and him.

His tights are 2-3 sizes too small. It's like when Kazarian cut his hair in PWG after his WWE run, to play up and work "smart" "insider" fans.

Attire change that fitted a character he was to play and he'd be absolutely fine.
Current attire at his current weight, highly doubt he'd appeal to the masses that is the WWE audience.
