Just completed it. Now do I start all over again or do I work my way through the side quests? My two main criticisms of the game... 1. The difficulty. Not in the constantly dying way, more that there's some things that need to be explained in a bit more detail. For example, I didn't know you could ready an arrow and then walk up to a torch and light the arrow. This would have been nice to know at a certain point in the game. As someone posted earlier, it would have been nice to have a little bit more hand-holding at some points. 2. {Spoiler}The lack of boss variety. There are five main bosses in the game, they are all a variation of Ganon. The battles aren't bad but part of the fun of playing Zelda games is seeing the Dungeon boss for the first time and figuring out how to expose a weak spot. When you're just fighting Ganon over and over again, there's no real mystery to it.

Right, I'm about to post a huge spoiler for the ending of this game. You have been warned. {Spoiler}There are two endings to the game. The first/standard ending is what you get when you defeat Ganon after having freed all four divine beasts but have not recalled all your lost memories. The second ending happens when you free the beasts, beat Ganon AND have recalled all your memories.

Probably put about 15-20 hours into this since it came out, definitely liking the game a lot and am just starting to go after my first Guardian Beast. This game will probably become my new Witcher 3 where it takes me a year or two to beat it because I get distracted so easily and then it becomes my game to pick up when I have nothing else on the horizon.... speaking of which, I really need to play Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Are there any big differences between the WiiU and Switch versions?

Are there any big differences between the WiiU and Switch versions? On the last page, someone said it is mostly cosmetic, but that the Wii-U one isn't terribly ugly or anything.

I got some friends of mine that have flat out told me I can't talk about the game AT ALL to avoid spoilers. I understand that but it's to the point of I got bitched at for pretty much saying one piece of an NPC dialogue that had nothing to do with anything in the story is flat out nuts. Like I get it but jeeez. Just completed it. Now do I start all over again or do I work my way through the side quests? My two main criticisms of the game... 1. The difficulty. When you're just fighting Ganon over and over again, there's no real mystery to it. Agree 100% about #1. There are NPCs that tell you these things, but since it's such an open world you will likely miss tips like this. I've heard some people enjoy it more as more of a "you find out yourself." There's more than a few things if I knew about them from the start, I would enjoyed the first part of the game much more. Once you find out a few things like elemental damage and some battle combat pointers along with getting more health to work with, the game becomes much better. I get the idea of trying to find out things yourself but I can see some players (especially first time/younger Zelda players) HATING this game because of this. This is not Dark Souls, it's Zelda. Throw me a bone here. I also ran into an issue when I got to the sand part of the game while during a battle, my game locked up for a good two seconds before going again. I've had framerate drops at times but that was by far the worst I've seen.

I'm on Wii U and I've had the game slow down a fair few times now, with at least five times of a lock-up of more than a second, normally when I'm in the middle of a fight.

think the opening fight against Divine Beast ruta has bugged out on me twice now... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} first time all the pink orbs on the doorway were shot but I kept swimming around as if they weren't... checked a guide to see what I was missing... everything says just shoot them and enter... so I restarted.
second time he refused to go to the opposite side... he keeps swimming back and forth on the first as if I missed a shot there... but the orbs are gone. edit: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}managed to fix the second time by gliding over Senor Elephante to shoot the orb on the opposite side and that forced him to swim on the other side... also how bad a shot do you think I am that I need 20 arrows to shoot 4 things... nice vote of confidence there...

Are there any big differences between the WiiU and Switch versions? The differences are super technical. Like, the game is rendered at 720p on Wii U and 900p on Switch (in TV Mode), so the game looks slightly sharper on Switch (like you'd have to stare at a screenshot for a good bit before saying which version it's from). On the flip side, both versions have slowdown, but in different places (except when the Switch is in portable mode). The only thing that's kind of a bummer with the Wii U version is that it doesn't have any gamepad functionality (other than choosing to playing the game on the TV or the gamepad) which seems to have been done as to not give the Wii U version an exclusive feature over the Switch version. So, if you have a Wii U, you'll be fine playing it there.

Why are those Blue Bokoblins so freaking strong?
They have more HP than Moblins and almost as much as Wizzrobes

I caved and bought the strategy guide.
It's been a good decision. Shrines haven't been an issue for me, but it's just finding my way in certain places. It took forever for me to find the old man's cabin.

I normally would hate the weapon breaking mechanic, but it really does make me think of the best way to approach an area, what weapons the enemies have and if it is even worth fighting them to get it, and how I can beat them using the environment or my runes.
