Fun Fact
"The Starving Games" contains a reference to the Na'vi, four years after "Avatar" was released.

"Marvellous Super Heroes" Captain Torch - A patriotic super soldier who can light himself on fire . That ones actually kind of clever (combining two of Marvel's most popular Golden Age heroes).

So they'll attempt to parody "The Last Jedi" knowing nothing about it but its title? Hasn't stopped them before.

Spaceballs came out around 30 years ago, yet this spoof will be way more outdated than Spaceballs upon release.

"Jason and Aaron are a powerhouse duo who have proven time and time again that they are fully tapped into what audiences love," said Hanson.............no. I'm often quick to defend even the worst talents in a Hollywood as to get something released on a large scale you have to have at least a little bit of talent as a filmmaker. These two are the exception to the rule. Their stuff feels like it was filmed on a phone and belongs on YouTube.

Eventually they should parody their own parody movies. Go full meta on that shit and maybe crap out something substantial.

There's like 15000 of these parody movies on Netflix. Like the one that was a Hunger Games movie with the Hangover guys and Ted and every other thing that had happened in the past 5 years.
Terrible.

I hate what this genre has become.
It started so great with Films by Monty Python, Mel Brooks and the Zucker brothers. Now it's just turd after f***ing turd.

Fun Fact"The Starving Games" contains a reference to the Na'vi, four years after "Avatar" was released. There was also another Hunger Games parody from around the same time (The Hungover Games) that also had an Avatar parody in it.

Who watches their movies or reads their scripts and says, "This is brilliant! Here's a few million dollars to make your masterpiece."
Their movies bomb. Hard. They're not funny, like...at all. The only decent thing they do is get the cast of Mad TV a paycheck now and then.

It feels like an insult to the other writers of the other Scary Movies that they only think to reference two of them for their latest bad parody movie.
Also, They Came Together is a pretty damn good modern parody movie.

Seltzer and Friedberg parody films always feel late to the dance with their jokes. It's one thing if one wants to take the piss out of something, but they don't put any work into the humor. When I read MAD magazine, I can tell the writer who's doing the parody at least watched the property they're poking fun at, and/or enjoyed it.
Disaster Movie was just "Here's a popular thing. *drops a heavy object on it* Laugh, damn it!"

If anyone wants to really parody Star Wars, I suggest the story be based on the sale of Lucasfilm. Have "Star Worlds" as a hugely popular franchise created by a guy who surrounds himself with talented people willing to give him constructive advice and feedback. When the first trilogy is complete, he takes time away to build up his corporate empire but gradually loses his trusted and honest advisors. He replaces them with sycophants and loses all notions of storylines and characters, and is convinced audiences simply want to see dazzling special effects. He wants to expand his franchise with a prequel trilogy, but first tests the technology on the beloved original trilogy by altering them, which alienates and antagonises much of the fanbase. He reacts petulantly and tries to erase the original trilogy in favour of his new versions. His prequels go into production and each of them is critically demolished, making him even angrier, until eventually he sells the franchise to a large entertainment company, who produce movies that are far better received, much to his annoyance.
