There's 2 cases of envelopes: 1 for the presenters and 1 for backups. They somehow got a backup envelope. Here's what I've got to explain the mix-up of envelopes. In 2017 an accountant was told he could take one of the envelopes home, he went to get it signed when he tripped and lost the envelope. Fearing for his job, he promptly escaped from the Academy Awards to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still looked for by his employers, he survives as an accountant of fortune. If you have a financial problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire the O-Accountant.

People were like "Ugh, Jared Leto looks stupid." Well he just won an Oscar!
People said "Ugh, Killer Croc looks terrible." Well Adebisi now has an Oscar!
People said "Ugh, Joel Kinnaman is a talentless charisma vacuum." Well he's got an Oscar!
I don't know how the Oscars work.

Or it was all rigged.
You can't tell me that the same group of voters would vote a movie to win Best Actor, Best Actress, & Best Director, but they don't think it's best picture.
That doesn't make any sense.

That doesn't make any sense. It won Best Actress and Best Director, thats it from the major ones. I would get your point if they would have won screenplay, but Best Director and Best Actress (Which I still cant believe, Emma Stone? Seriously?) hardly means that they will winn best picture.

#OscarsSoWhite get their revenge last night in the biggest way possible.
It's like they shot off the confetti cannons at the end of a sporting event and everyone is celebrating, but then they go to replay and that team loses by a point.

I read about La La Land-what was the point of the film with that kind of ending?

...so, uh... I dunno if the commercials just never aired on channels I watched up here, or if they just never registered with me, or what, but I had never even heard of Moonlight until last night.

Since the Oscar went to the Make-Up team and not the actors that had the make-up applied to them, your last statement is correct.

I wonder how quickly they are going to fire everyone involved in this debacle.
Hell, they might hire Vince to do it for them

To me, Hacksaw Ridge should have won. All some people may take away is that it was a Mel Gibson film, however if one movie really inspired meafter watching it, it was that one. Yeah, I was familiar with the story, but watching it play out probably puts it up there in the top 5 WWII movies for me, especially the theme of having a core set of morals that you're unwilling to break and are still able to act heroically in battle. But youtubing that Best Picture f*** up was hilarious. I agree with 100 percent
