One of my little pleasures is seeing jackasses on social media who've been claiming for months Tom Holland is in the movie freak out because Tom Holland isn't in the movie.

28% on MetaCritic. 28% on Rotten Tomatoes. And so it begins: It'd be at 110% if they released the Snyder cut.

Just had a thought on how, if I absolutely had to, I'd do Venom in a Spider-Man-less setting.
Little convoluted, but I feel like your best bet would be to have the symbiotes come to earth as a consequence of some kind of experiment with sending animal DNA into space, having bonded with it, with Venom's naturally having bonded with a spider. There are four main benefits to this - one, it explains his abilities being similar to Spider-Man's. Two, in the event you later decided to integrate Spidey in it gives a reason for him to be on the symbiote's radar, since it might want to go to him due to being a more natural partner with its own nature. Three, it'd address the biggest issue with the symibotes in pretty much every story ever with more than a couple of them, that they're all basically the same, by giving them unique powers and the room to do different visual effects with them. Four, it'd be a perfect means through which to integrate Scorpion since that isn't that far off from his backstory anyway - just have him be subject to an experiment involving trying to harness the symbiote's more beneficial effects without actually having to co-exist with it.

Not a bad idea. Also considering Scorpion does become Venom at some point in the comic as well

I liked Justice League. It's obviously not on the level of The Avengers, but I it still entertained me. So, does that I mean I will probably be entertained by this? I was kind of looking forward to it, but now I'm probably just going to wait until it comes out on Blu-ray.

The company that makes mediocre to bad comic book movies made a mediocre to bad comic book movie?

Based on the reviews a more apt comparison would be you'll probably enjoy this if you enjoyed Blade: Trinity and the Nic Cage Ghost Rider movies.

I haven't seen the movie yet but..
I'm wondering if maybe they shouldn't have just blown their load and have Carnage in the first film as the antagonist to juxtapose Eddie with Cletus. Cause with the reviews coming in negative (as expected) this comes down to the money if we ever even get to see Carnage.

I think they banked on people being interested enough that it would recoup the money at least enough to justify a sequel
However, word of mouth with these reviews are harsh and might kill all enthusiasm with this movie. If this weekend doesn't do halfway decent they are f***ed

They are advertising a lot so that's another 100 million most likely. So they gotta make over 400 million at the box office to turn a profit it seems.

Either way if I had to guess they need to double whatever they put out for them to consider it a success

And even though it’ll probably do good this weekend, the second weekend drop is going to be painful and that will probably hurt it’s chances. Not to mention the slate for the next few weeks. Along with A Star is Born, you have First Man and Bad Times at the El Royale next week, and the. You have Halloween ‘18 in two weeks. This movie is f***ed.

When this was first announced I was really giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe Sony got their shit together and hoped it was gonna be Agent Venom but now I am glad that did not come true.

Yea, this movie is more than likely going to get a hot weekend and then fall off real hard like Batman vs Superman did
I can't see them getting double what they put out for this movie
