on the one hand I feel bad for the people getting robbed and stranded but on the other hand, there is a bit of schadenfreude too. I also feel sorry for the Bahamas, that's probably going to take a PR hit as a whole from this despite having basically nothing to do with it. |

I genuinely feel bad for the kids who shelled out all that money and got screwed over, it sucks. But youd hear their depictions of whats happening and you would think they were dropped from a plane on a desert island and forced to fight for survival.
The lack of coping mechanisms and the fact the first instinct was to complain and beg ror help rather than just say "well this sucks" and go to a hotel down the street his frightening.

It really seems like it's a smattering of start-up bros and people who self-identify as "influencers" who were "forced" to live in "conditions" that is the everyday reality for a lot of people.
Scamming people is wrong, but when scammers get scammed...well, you know...
