Even in bad movies Rock was in, his acting was never attacked. Like Be Cool. With Baywatch, is specifically his performance finally receiving criticism? He might not be used to that, like other posters have said. Similar to Tom Hanks, and Bonfire of the Vanities. From all the reviews I've read so far The Rock (along with Zac Efron)has been praised as the sole good thing in the film which I would have to agree with.

It's very unlike the Rock to lash out like this. He more often than not comes across as the coolest dude. Not here, though.
The Rock I'm used to would laugh at the negative reviews, make a joke about himself and move onto the next project. Openly insulting fans and people who paid to see the movie for not liking it is ridiculous.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm strangely excited about this. I'm a huge fan of the Universal monsters and I like how they're doing something different with them. Just hope we get "Black Lagoon" & "Phantom" in it, They're 2 of my faves *Edit* We are getting "creature", So I'll await news of "Phantom" Honestly Lagoon is the one I'm most interested in as it hasn't been remade ...ever I think. I'd be VERY interested to see what they come up with for it. The only time I've seen him get a modern (life action) update is his "monster Squad" appearance But I wouldn't be surprised if he's had one since then

Unless they make a deal Japan = "Creature From The Black Lagoon" ROW = "Black Lagoon"

Rock's not an idiot when it comes to promotion; he's not going to throw a newly released movie under the bus because he knows it's awful. No actor is going to risk upsetting anyone when it could lead to not getting a role in the future.
