I did a double take reading the title of this. There will never be another like him. I might need to rewatch Beware the Gray Ghost later, always been a wonderful tribute to him and be all the more poignant now.

I really liked that the backlash against the campy Batman had faded in the last 20 years and West' performance as the character has been appreciated again. Not to mention his reemergence as a great character on Family Guy, consistently stealing the show in most of the scenes he was in.
RIP to a iconic television figure.

The 60's Batman series was on here a few years back and I ended up watching it every day. 88 is a decent run, but it's obviously still sad news. A spokesperson has said that he passed away peacefully after a brief battle with leukaemia. ( BBC news) |
