At first glance it's easy to dismiss WWECW as a terrible idea, but if you dig through those 2006-07 shows there's a ton of great stuff on them. That said even some of the great matches there have a hint of sadness to them, like RVD/Holly or RVD/Test during the time after the weed bust when Van Dam was busting his ass to have great matches and the company was never going to push him again.
I'd stop around the time Benoit was drafted to ECW. We don't need to be reminded of what happened with him shortly after it.

I know, which is why I'd stop the Network run for now right before he is drafted there, because his demise sort of hangs over that show for a while.

I really enjoyed WWECW, thought it got way too much criticism and hate than it deserved.
The CM Punk-Morrison feud was really fun. Had it been called anything else I think it would have been better accepted.

I wasn't a big of this era, though there are some gems (Flair/Show and the New Breed/Originals Extreme Rules match). I can't wait for 2009 though.

BTW some things to look forward to seeing again -The Zombie -Macho Libre -Batista vs Big Show -Extreme Strip War Poker -The entire WWE run of Braden Walker Also I suspect they will edit the first part of the 6/26/07 episode out where Vince McMahon addressed the situation about you know who.

There were a few gems, but it became worthless after December To Disremember. I wouldn't mind WWE just burning the footage to be honest.

I CAN FINALLY SEE ORIGINALS Vs. NEW BREED IN HD!
I am so excited about this. By the time they stopped trying to be hardcore ECW, and stuck with ECW's core principals (training ground for WWE, new guys get to season, old guys get one more run) it was the best show WWE was putting out.

I'll rewatch all of 2009 if they get there.

Bizarrely I've been looking forward to this for some time! After they stopped trying to be Extreme it was such a fun show until its demise to make way for the farce that was early NXT.

Looking forward to some of the shows, I liked the Punk vs. Morrison match from the 9/4/07 ECW show, and have wanted to see the TV taping at the Hammerstein again from 8/1/06 for sometime now.

Honestly from about mid-2007 to its end, WWECW was probably the most consistently solid wrestling program on national television. Less BS, good development of young talent, efficient use of older veterans, and a running time that allowed for solid matches.

Don't question the fire that burns insiiiiiiiiide!!! Rough start for the show but I feel like the moment Lashley's second title reign is over is when the show improves a bunch. I really love the era of Yoshi Tatsu getting a two week build to a main event title shot with Christian that actually got some damn heat.

Chris Benoit being a piece of shit isn't going to stop me from enjoying the hard work of all the other wrestlers.

I am so ready for this. WWECW has this weird charm to it that's only grown on me since its demise.
For as random as Morrison's title win seemed at the time (and understandably so), it wound up marking the exact moment when the brand stopped trying to be a poor imitation of ECW and started doing its own quirky thing.
