It feels like a new writer saw the CM Punk leaves WWE angle and thought "THis should work but we need to cut out all the stuff that made Punk justified and instead make Dolph a whiney bitch".

I'm personally just tired of seeing a character whose entire shtick is who mishandled he is, even in moments where he (kinda) isn't. In kayfabe, why the hell would Dolph have stayed as long as he has if he's mistreated this badly? Leave, guy. Go film porn or whatever your thing is. He's already doing pornstars IRL, but he's probably not going to make $900,000 a year filming porn like he allegedly does in WWE unless he starts his own production company and it takes off. Shame he couldn't use his wrestling name outside of WWE because "Ziggled Productions" would be a great porn production company name. Or maybe not, I don't know; Wood Rocket is a thing, so who knows. Also, regarding Dolph's comedian career, I think he knew that shit was sunk once he started performing on someone's deck to a crowd of 15 people in lawn chairs.

Dolph Ziggler is the Nickleback of wrestling No one would know or care if you swapped him for Chad Kroeger.

This Ziggler gimmick that started back with the wacky entrances has been grade A hogshit
I can't foresee any ending to this that isn't in the :"going over like a fart in church" category

I just thought Ziggler was doing a Naito style thing by degrading the belt. It did feel very Naito-esque, except he didn't throw the belt out of the ring. But you can't just tell a dumbed down version of Naito's story without having Naito's charisma and expect it to work.

Dolph is not not even Stardust Genius Naito so no way is he Los Ingobernables Naito. Tho he does get Stardust Genius cricket reactions I'd be willing to give "give no f***s Dolph" a chance if he started coming out with his hair all loose, scruffy beard etc... but this seem like some ole bullshit as usual. At worse he either is leaving, comes out with a new U.S. belt, or you have him loosely copy Naito in regards to throwing the belt around and breaking it. Of course Naito reason for doing that was golden because that was the title that took away his main event but meh they will figure it out.

Naito would back hand Ziggler and toss his belt into the crowd before also throwing his newly won IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the crowd.

Ok either the f***er is really leaving or it's a fake retirement.
It won't raise a breath or a dime anyway. Unfortunately Dolph Ziggler currently can't draw flies even if he was covered in shit.

I think Dolph Ziggler will never leave unless he got fired.
I'm sorry, but he outstayed his welcome years ago.

It's a race to see who's more of a whiny bitch now, Dolph Ziggler, or Kylo Ren.

Have him vanish, come back a year later with a denim jacket, Sandman t-shirt, and a flannel around his waist. Boom, new Raven. Make sure he says "what about me" a lot.

Besides if this was WWE’s version of Naito, WWE have title belts that are used on TV, and others they give the wrestlers to take on house shows. No way they’re letting Ziggler destroy a TV only belt.

I really don't understand people's disdain of Ziggler, or at least the level of it. He's a damn good wrestler and has consistently put on good matches for 10 years. His booking has been almost criminal for all but about 6 months of that time and for some reason, people seem to blame him for it. For me it's simply because he whines endlessly about his treatment and does nothing to try and improve things. WWE do deserve a good chunk of the blame, but for me it's like...if he was talented enough he would have broken out eventually. Punk did, Bryan did, Ryder did briefly. It's reached the point where maybe blaming WWE is an excuse and he's the problem. If he was this amazing talent we would have seen something more then a haircut and new attire by now. Though I will say there is some revisionism going on when people say he was never over.
