I wasn't sure if I was imagining this or not but I saw people bring it up on other sites.
Anyone else think Alexa is awful at taking moves? It's as if she doesn't want to get hit. It's most noticeable when she takes a dropkick and falls way too early making it look like the kick missed by a mile.

You're thinking of bumping.
And yeah she looked a bit off on a couple of moves last night but I don't think she's bad overall.

I felt it was more of an "off night" than a trend.

I noticed the early falls on the dropkicks too but in general I don't think she's that bad.

She seemed off too, but it could be the holidays and her mind was off elsewhere.
I was more annoyed by how alexa dominated asuka in some instances in the match, making it almost 50/50. (I know a certain alexa fan will say cause she is better but wharever)
My friend ,who doesn't watch nxt, keeps telling me before she debut They hyped her up as this dominating monster like goldberg, but so far she is just average and nothing special. And last night match, despite winning, didn't help
I am worried alexa might be the one who will end asuka streak, since the streak ain't even considered a major factor anymore,.

She's not very good, I've tried to give her a chance, but she's been in the ring with the likes of Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte and all of those matches seem "off" b/c Bliss just isn't very good. She's decent, she's in that second or third tier of wrestlers but she's 5'2'' and they've built the division on someone who can't sell for shit and is passable in the ring.

Yeah it’s becoming more and more evident that Alexa isn’t really good in ring.
Or atleast not good enough to be a champion working lengthy matches. Her stuff always feels disjointed and wonky. I can’t think of a good singles match she’s ever had.

I noticed she fell too soon last night for every dropkick from the top rope or on the ground

Yeah, she's been doing this for awhile. I don't see her every match, but she does it and it makes her matches look really fake. Like Auska or her other opponents didn't look bad, but she does and the matches suffers.
Another prime example would be her completely whiffing when Charlotte "hit" her with a big boot on one of these PPV.

Yes, she should have totally crushed the champion, that’s definitely best for everyone involved.

What’s wrong with Asuka just destroying her to set up that Alexa is woefully outmatched leading into the PPV. With Bliss maybe trying to injure Asuka before her title shot to gain an advantage, blah blah blah. The way they did it, it was a fairly standard sloppy match that will likely be exactly the same when they do the title match. There’s no intrigue or anything.

But Asuka has never been booked as a Goldberg type destroyer. Never. She wins, obviously, but it’s very rarely a squash and certainly not against someone who’s beaten pretty much every female on the roster.

There’s nothing coming out of the match on Monday. It was a mediocre match where it was fairly even. Asuka won sure but there’s nothing telling us as an audience that Asuka is a different or more dangerous challenger to Bliss than Sasha or Bayley.

Asuka crushes the champ, so we’re then sure Alexa doesn’t have a chance and then..either Alexa somehow wins, killing the longest running winning streak in history or Asuka beats her again, which is no big deal because she annihilated her last time anyway.

It was a standard "she just beat the champion clean in the middle of the ring, so she'll get a title match sometime because of it" match. It didn't need to be anything more than that.

She uses more underhanded tactics to get the advantage and have more offence on her. Heel wrestler 101. Whether she wins or not doesn’t matter as much if the heel is still able to do heeling and distract the ref and such. I mean, this would have meant more if everyone didn’t already have most offence on Asuka but that would be my logic.
