I'll just be honest...all Alexa's good at is talking. Wrestling-wise she's not very good and we've said that for the longest time but she hasn't really shown major improvement even though she's been working with the company for years. Take someone like Strowman who was trash when he was called up to the main roster to the point where his push was canceled because he couldn't work with Ambrose. Afterwards he kept continuing and look at where he is today, you see the improvement. Alexa though, she's just not making that kind of improvement. She's good on the mic, her angles and storylines are booked horribly and yeah she's got a good look but damn it's bad that the only thing I want to hear her do is talk and that's only if her angles are booked well and (like I said) they're usually not. They need to strip that belt from her asap. She's great at bumping and selling, their just booking her wrong as a heel on Raw. Either turn her face or ship her back to Smackdown. |

Look I like Alexa a lot but how can you type that she's "great at bumping" with a straight face? Particularly when your post includes a quote that showcases just how bad at bumping she is with multiple examples. The only one that's a little questionable to me is the one with Char's big boot and even that was only like a split-second mistake. At least she isn't selling like 2 or 3 seconds late like Jacke did in THAT match back in 2002. |

Her biggest problem is now even her best trait in talking is sort of fell off. Sure you can say it's the material but more often than not she's put in a position where they don't make anyone seem on her level and she backs up everything she says I guess the worst thing u can say about her in regards to non wrestling base and you can put this on creative as well, anyone she feuds with doesn't come out looking good and remain stagnant for a good while. See Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch as examples |

AJ Styles, even when he beats dudes and wins matches he always makes his opponent look strong. Even Wyatt of all people looked strong when he beat Styles because of how AJ was. Like someone else said, Alexa as champion right now is like having ECW era Miz booked as a world beater.
You can say it...but damn the facade falls away quick. She actively makes her opponents look worse in the ring with the way she takes stuff.

First, we don't talk about Eminems album, let that shit die in the bushes like it's supposed to lol Second, yes I agree. When she first got pushed it was a breath of fresh air because it was a new person on the scene and she was better than people imagined. Her smackdown run wasn't memorable but it was a good first step in what seemed to be a growth process. She gets moved to Raw and it seems the worst qualities of her are brought out while she's gone backwards in her game. Sasha and Bayley are two hit squad victims of her when at least with Charlotte they have some type of ground on her but as much as Charlotte/Sasha got played out I would still at least watch the match and tho they flip flopped the title there was at least something there. I expect them to turn Alexa face after her run is over and just have her wander for a while until she gets another title shot but she needs to show some type of improvement moving forward because she has been soured on a lot from her peak |

It really is amazing that they push this whole women's revolution and have her as the champion. She is simply not good but she's hot and decent on the mic so she'll continue to get pushed and the division will continue to suffer because of it

I think Alexa's matches will get a lot better when she eventually turns face. Although she's a natural heel from a character standpoint, in ring she's much more suited to being a face as she will able to use her athletic ability more and her matches will be able to tell a more natural story with her fighting from underneath due to her being so much smaller then everyone. Also when she turns I don't see her crowd reactions and mic work taking a hit, as a lot of fans already like her even as a heel and on the mic she can use her quick wit to make fun of the heels which is more productive then what she's doing currently in making fun of the faces on the mic and then beating clean in matches and making them look bad and hurting their value (Sasha, Bayley, Mickie).
In ring as a heel I don't see her ever getting better as I think she has a low ceiling. As I've said in other threads about her, she's kind of hamstrung because there's not much she can do on offense. She can't utilize her athletic ability to do high spots because those get face pops and she's not big enough or strong enough to do any power moves on anyone, so as a result she really has nothing to go to. That's why you'll notice most of her matches fall off a cliff during the middle part when it's time for her as the heel to take over on offense, as she doesn't have enough in her arsenal to make her control segment interesting. Also because of her lack of size believability is also an issue against some opponents in those parts of her matches as it just comes off as hard to believe when she's for long stretches of time working over someone who's either presented as a badass (Asuka) or is a lot bigger physically (Charlotte, Naomi).

Alexa and Roman are both pushed strongly because the company sees money in them, and both have very dedicated fanbases and move merch, but both end up rejected by a lot of other people and not as successful as they should be because there's this obsession with cramming people into the roles that have been ordained for them under the belief they can just dictate it and that it's how things will be. Ignoring that most of their biggest successes carved out their own paths and fought against the roles they were put into, while other people like Kevin Nash went from being horribly miscast to something more natural and sent another company into a boom period. WWE is its own worst enemy in a lot of ways. |
