Man this thread shows me exactly how much I’m not paying attention to the show.

"Kurt I don't want to face Asuka please get me out of the match!"
"Nia please help me against Asuka I don't want to do this!"
Gets to the ring and looks scared
Match starts
COLLAR AND ELBOW TIE UP
You fricking kidding me?

That’s fine but here it would’ve actually built a story. There’s nothing coming out of the match on Monday. It was a mediocre match where it was fairly even. Asuka won sure but there’s nothing telling us as an audience that Asuka is a different or more dangerous challenger to Bliss than Sasha or Bayley. But then what? Asuka crushes the champ, so we’re then sure Alexa doesn’t have a chance and then..either Alexa somehow wins, killing the longest running winning streak in history or Asuka beats her again, which is no big deal because she annihilated her last time anyway. You build a story that Asuka is superior and Alexa has to weasel a way to try and win. Simple. Try to injure her before the match so the title match is more even. Asuka overcomes injury and still beats Alexa. Bliss looks like a total heel for going so low and Asuka comes off as a valiant competent babyface that can be hurt but shows heart.

Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds. How did they go about getting people to believe he had a chance in the rematch? (Not me being a smartass... I legitimately wasn't really watching at that time)

Yeah, she should have at least stalled, hid behind the ref, climb out the ring etc. she was ducking between the ropes every ten seconds or so in the early part of the match whenever asuka would move towards her. sounds pretty stally/scared/chickenshit heelish to me.

Her and Carmella both have that problem. Carmella more so, swear she has done it in every match she's had against Nikki Bella or Naomi. It's really been showing up lately with Alexa though and I feel it wasn't as big of a problem in the past. I guess Alexa thinks Asuka and Charlotte hit harder then the rest

Yeah it’s becoming more and more evident that Alexa isn’t really good in ring. Or atleast not good enough to be a champion working lengthy matches. Her stuff always feels disjointed and wonky. I can’t think of a good singles match she’s ever had. The ones with Sasha Banks were the only ones I enjoyed.

Alexa is vastly overrated and her booking has been illogical for the better part of the last 6-8 months. By no means am I saying she's terrible, but I just don't see what a lot of folks do with her

Right.
If you want to complain about the 50/50 match with relatively no cheating on Alexa's part:
Blame. The. Agents.

The Mickie feud is what tipped it with some folks

From the time she was on Smackdown, Alexa's asset was clearly her character work, as Becky could wrestle circles around her and their matches just weren't very good. Problem was, when she went over to Raw a lot of that character work fell by the wayside as she slipped into the same blonde mean girl role Charlotte had been in, and Alexa ended up losing a lot of that too. Then they started booking her way above everyone else in the division where previously she'd had to use every f***ing trick in the book to keep Becky from beating her, and it's just. It's so very not good. She's not as good in the ring as they try to make her seem and the "Alexa is an asskicker" match structure is so overbearing and insufferable.

I wasn't sure if I was imagining this or not but I saw people bring it up on other sites. Anyone else think Alexa is awful at taking moves? It's as if she doesn't want to get hit. It's most noticeable when she takes a dropkick and falls way too early making it look like the kick missed by a mile. You sure didn't imagine it because i was openly moaning at how bad it was last night. Some of those kicks were literally missed by one or two feet because she would fall so soon. It was frankly embarrassing...there is no doubt people in the performance center right now who could do better. It's one thing to be safe but it's another thing to make a joke of the entire thing to the point that no amount of camera work could hide her awfulness.

Alexa was scared as hell and then hung with Asuka and even had the upper hand for a decent amount of time. The narrative was all wrong, Alexa should have taken a count out or intentional DQ to weasel out of it, not go 50/50.

I'll just be honest...all Alexa's good at is talking. Wrestling-wise she's not very good and we've said that for the longest time but she hasn't really shown major improvement even though she's been working with the company for years. Take someone like Strowman who was trash when he was called up to the main roster to the point where his push was canceled because he couldn't work with Ambrose. Afterwards he kept continuing and look at where he is today, you see the improvement. Alexa though, she's just not making that kind of improvement. She's good on the mic, her angles and storylines are booked horribly and yeah she's got a good look but damn it's bad that the only thing I want to hear her do is talk and that's only if her angles are booked well and (like I said) they're usually not. They need to strip that belt from her asap.
