I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you can possibly botch running into a flying butt. On the Naomi GIF, it looks okay. Where exactly is the botch? Not saying that out of Alexa favoritism, I legitimately don't see a mistake there. |

As others have pointed out, she visibly takes the bump without even coming close to making contact with Naomi, making an already ridiculously fake-looking move look even faker. |

But the switch back to the wider side-ring shot showed just how far back she was from Naomi when she dropped. With proper execution, Naomi would have been standing over Alexa and would have been able to bend over to pick up her legs without taking that step back that she does in the gif. |

If I was showing favoritism, I'd say Alexa had never made a mistake before, which even I the biggest Alexa supporter here can admit isn't true. |

You can't be jobbed out if you don't sell well, you know? Then again, that might explain her booking. Alexa suffered a broken nose once or twice on NXT (against Sasha Banks, if my memory serves me right), she's small and she's cosmetically pleasing as well as marketable so having her bounce around like a pinball might not be the best course of action for someone you want to push as the face of the division. Since she looks to be hesitant to get hit, then don't get her in a position where she can get hit. That and her dominant booking has kept her on top of the proverbial mountain for most of 2017 but that's a story for another time.

The dropkicks didn't look THAT bad, to me, in those gifs, but yeah, definitely a miss on the others ones. The kicks would look better if she took the bumps with her shoulder. Some sort of contact is believable in a wrestling match. As is, Alexa looks like she's performing the part of the match where she falls down. Even an all-time great like Ric Flair was willing to bump after his plane crash injuries, even if he landed more on his side than flat-back. |

Hennig was always upper midcard but he sold far too well to not be putting people over. |

I'm sure someone told her to protect herself extra well as the Champ from taking face bumps (les-bi-honest Alexa's looks are her biggest asset to the WWE) which is why she continues to be 'extra safe' when bumping. The camera angles don't really help out that plan at all since it's obvious to smarks that she's missing the point of contact by in some cases feets rather than inches.
Unfortunately since she's the top woman on RAW that will continue since she needs to be around in 100% shape for the storylines to continue as planned. Protecting the title holder is just business as usual, I think that the alternative (Bliss in strong style matches especially against Asuka who has already been documented in NXT crushing people's faces with stiff kicks) wouldn't end up well for RAW concerning their Road to WrestleMania angles.
Still she should be treated without kid gloves if she's truly ready for the brass ring she's grabbed.
