They're going on right now with Andy Serkis and Tiffany Haddish. I see the usual and expected names. Cool to see Mary J. Blige get an acting nom.
Update: I don't understand why they nominate nine movies for best picture when they can nominate ten. If you can do ten, do the whole ten.
Jordan Peele getting Oscar love is awesome. Greta Gerwig getting a best director nom for her first movie, and only the fifth female in the category. Kumail Nanjiani also getting recognized is cool.
I'm pulling for Frances McDormand because she went to my high school. 😁
And it would be nice to see Gary Oldman finally get his day in the sun.

The Best Picture Nominees are...
Dunkirk Get Out The Post Lady Bird Darkest Hour Phantom Thread The Shape of Water Call Me by Your Name Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
Logan nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Surprised The Shape of Water didn’t get nominated for best makeup.

The Shape Of Water, Lady Bird, Get Out and Dunkirk were all fun. I haven't seen the other films yet. Out of what I did catch, I'm rooting for Shape Of Water and Get Out the hardest.
The Florida Project and Coco both should have gotten Best Picture noms.

Logan for Best Adapted Screenplay, and Get Out getting a lot of nominations. Maybe, this is the signal that the Academy is starting to shift.

A John Cena film is nominated for an Oscar. He's jobbing to Pixar, though. Ferdinand was okay, it's a cute harmless family film. Coco was f***ing epic and heartwrenching.

Yeah, they had to nominate other movies, they couldn't announce the winner right there. But, f***ing Boss Baby over Lego Batman? That's bullshit.

Lego Batman was hilarious, that not being nominated is criminal. Honestly, 2017 was a weaker year for animation, compared to how amazing 2016 was. And it wasn't just Emoji Movie dragging it down.

I guess it’s not surprising, but Franco got snubbed for a Best Actor nom.

animation has always been a bit of a joke really BB and F shouldn't be anywhere NEAR oscars noms, anyone know why they were??? and COCO is THE BOOK OF LIFE, i also have my doubts about that being there too! where's MY LIFE AS A ZUCCHINI? LEGO BATMAN perhaps even some talking horses NO FAVOURITISM THERE but OPEN UP YOUR EYES should have been nommed for best original song and christopher plummer isn't good enough to be there, and ONLY there because they wouldn't change it! the ONE LINE i've seen in in ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD is when asking about the money, it's totally different from that original guy, it almost in that one word changes the entire tone of the movie ..... and sounds totally out of place for me! always a good load for star wars in the tech ..... always a few little surprises like margot robbie but since there's OBSESSION going about, there's actually little surprises ..... which what they SHOULD be putting foreward!

James Franco getting snubbed is hilarious I mean how often do real comedy roles get nominated for oscars even if they win golden globes?

I hate being a bigger genre fan over drama lol. Though I pretty much called the best pictures, though I had Disaster Artist in there which surprised me in the snub.
