I missed this week's SDL, how were they used? Also has there been any reports as to why AJ beat both of their asses and won clean despite being a handicap match?

Opened up the show to whine about losing at the Rumble, then they whined to Shane backstage about it, then they whined to Bryan, then they whined at each other, then they spent the whole main event bickering before Sami got fed up and left.

Although they did raise the point that AJ didn't actually beat them clean because AJ pinned the wrong man after a missed tag which was the justification for the #1 Contenders match next week.

True, meant to mention that. Though even without it being clean I have zero idea why you're supposed to give a shit about that match at Fastlane because it's still putting AJ in a position where it's, "He beat both of them, but now can he beat just one?!" Especially given they could very, very easily have Orton get the title shot instead of dragging out this godawful feud further.

It's actually rather bizarre that AJ and Orton have only had one singles match since the inception of the Smackdown Live brand (which should have been the Mania 33 WWE title match, especially with that RKO counter), despite them essentially being the two most prominent names on the show. And who knows if they'll be able to do it again, since it's likely one of them could end up on Raw on the next Shakeup.

Whoa that's sad. To think KO a couple of months ago destroyed Vince and busted him open. I wonder when they fell out of grace.

Are we allowed to talk about the fact he refuses to take care of himself is maybe starting to catch up with him? He says he flat out doesn’t work out and doesn’t eat well, he said it just on Jericho’s podcast last week. Maybe the grind and the shape he is in is starting to have an affect on what he does in ring. I know people get crazy when you say Kevin Owens should maybe workout a little bit, but is that not a possibility? Yeah, I don't buy the "I don't work out" thing. Sure, he probably eats like shit and all that, but look at the arms on the guy. He didn't get those sitting on his ass, and they certainly didn't used to look that way. Kevin will say shit to push his gimmick and persona even in non-kayfabe settings. I think he has the arms of a guy who picks up 200lb men for a living, but the guy says he doesn’t go to the gym, and he looks like he doesn’t go to the gym, so I have no reason to not believe him. Now, I know this board is sensitive to anything that can be considered body shaming. But, if you make the choice to be. Pro wrestler at the highest level in 2018, you are making the choice to devoting your life to being in the best shape possible. I am not saying you have to be a body builder, but look at Owens in NXT and look at him now. Being just a freak, natural athlete is going to hit a wall at some point for everyone. I am surprised it hasn’t caught up to Owens quicker.

Imma keep it a buck with yall... Owens has been trash since he's won the Universal Title. The only reason the Jericho pairing worked is because Jericho was hitting everything out of the park and he reached a new level of performer, anything that man touched from The List to the Ambrose feud to Owens in general worked. You take that away and you get Owens under-performing whether it's in promos, matches, feuds in general and hell even small things like intimidation. Anyone else notice that Owens as a character was far more intimidating before he won that title compared to afterwards? This man has been outclassed by everyone he's been feuding with from Jericho to Goldberg to Styles to Gable to I mean what? Now Zayn is out here shining more than Owens and we get another boring ass Styles feud where Styles shines on both dudes at the same time. Owens has had worse matches with AJ Styles THAN JINDER MAHAL!! This dude needs to turn face, go to Raw, get a new character and then needs to stay in the midcard because right now this guy's been horrible. You know I called this 3 weeks into Kevin's Universal title run with this thread called Kevin Owens Damaged goods? and I got some flack from that thread and now people starting to see that Kevin Owens stint on the main roster has been mediocre to just plain bad dude needs a face turn and put on a new show. Hell I would have Sami take out Owens and have him win the WWE title and have AJ/Sami/Nakamura in a 3-way dance at Maina heck it would be more interesting then AJ/Nakamura IMHO

Owens is in danger of taking the 'phoning it in' crown. Sami's character is extremely irritating atm, but at least he seems like he wants to be there.

Bryan booking Sami and KO to fight each other seems kinda off, given the implications that he's supposedly favoring them.

I don't have a problem with spotfest matches as long as it looks sharp and that has been all the 'great' matches that KO has under his belt as far as main roster is considered, if he really is working with injuries then no wonder he is not having great matches, his matches does not have a lot of 'oomph' in them if you take away the novelty of 'woah that fat guy did a summersault! #blownaway #thisisawesome' ,if he can't do that right now then i am not surprised by the output Regarding his gut, i do believe that it had ballooned up after the debut but then he did loose it after a while so yeah i don't think he does not workout, i believe he just does some regular body weight exercises

I think it’s likely we get a non-match with some fingerpoke style shenanigans, as I don’t buy into them breaking up right now.

Given they always represented their companies as homegrown stars that are recognized as great in the ring, I thought it would have been a marriage made in heaven having AJ face Orton and make it a good feud. At least there should have been a Mania match between the two.
