Dear Hollywood and the rest of the entertainment industry. Keep your damn politics and views out of movies, we watch them to escape from the mess the world is in. Signed, Everyone Politics and social commentary influences art at every level. Besides, you probably wouldn't be complaining if they pandered to your particular world views.

I think the big takeaway is this - I'd think they pretty much have to consider this movie a success. Probably not actually making its money back but in terms of what they wanted it to do by releasing it this way, it worked.

It's probably as good news as they can expect with this weird year. 23% increase in subscribers is pretty damn good. Especially when 60% of said group is likely to retain their sub.

I'm genuinely asking in good faith here.

I guess you can consider the problematic way Middle Eastern people were portrayed as snide political messaging, but I'd say that's more tired racial stereotypes than anything overtly political. I'm guessing you can draw some parallels between Lord and he who must not be named, but those sorts of hucksters in the 80's were a dime-a-dozen. So I'd chalk that up more coincidence than anything.

Wife and I finally got around to watching this tonight. Even though they said Lord’s similarities to you know who wasn’t intentional...the part in DC was a little eerie.

I know it's pretty common to do so, but that seems extremely optimistic.

I know it's pretty common to do so, but that seems extremely optimistic. Are the Oscars still refusing to consider any movies that didn't have a theatrical release? Because considering how 2020 turned out, WW84 might get a nomination simply because of lack of competition.

I'll probably give this another watch in the next week or so. Even though I mostly enjoyed it a good bit at the time I already find it's kind of a blur for me in a few ways. Would like the chance to kind of reevaluate it before it gets pulled.

It's soooooooooooooooooo boring.
DC movies are such a f***ing chore.
I'm honestly glad there's no Nightwing movie news on the horizon, because they'll just f*** it up.

I liked it enough that I watched it twice within 24 hours. I will say, I preferred Diana/Wonder Woman more in the first movie, but I over-all enjoyed this sequel more than the first WW. It could be cut down here and there, but the only aspects I really don't care for aren't time-sensitive: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}WHY did Steve have to come back in another guy's body??
"It's the Fourth!" I'm probably being somewhat harsh on this, because it actually happened when I was a kid on a beach holiday and my whole family was startled driving back to hotel until we remembered what day it was.

I’ll probably enjoy it more once we get a fan edit trimming a lot of the fat. I feel like it’s the Iron Man 2 of DC movies.

It's a stupid as hell rule even under normal circumstances, but I kind of wish that rule was still in place just for Best Picture Winner Sonic the Hedgehog.
