A realization I made....3rd Rock From The Sun is now by default Carsey-Werner's biggest hit. Being that the other two now technically don't exist. Either 3rd Rock or That 70s Show, though I still have a lot of love for A Different World even if Cosby produced it. Danny Masterson has gotten himself in shit too. Believe a few rape accusations or maybe a conviction. Not exactly sure his situation.

Also, Hyde wasn't really the face of the series like Roseanne or Cosby (whose respective shows were named after them). Same reason why Seinfeld was never in danger of losing syndication during the Michael Richards situation, I'd argue. Same with Arrested Development and the allegations against Jeffrey Tambor.

Technically, Hyde became the main character in the final season after they killed the new butt monkey, had Eric go to Africa, and Kelso left town (all in 2 episodes).

The problem with her joke was. When you're talking about "apes" and "Muslims" within the context of black people. You're throwing way too many swords up in the air, and unless you got some comedy-ninja skills, you're going to end up slicing your hand off. Someone like Louis CK literally called a deer a "F*** C*** N****" in his act a while back. Yet there was no protests from gay people, women or black people because he set it up and delivered in a context that made sense, and it was obvious he wasn't saying it to be homophobic, sexist or racist. If Roseannes wasn't intending to be racist, then she just sucks at making jokes. Whether the show should have been canceled or not? I don't know, I have no desire to watch a network family sitcom, and don't see why other people do. It's not a question of morality or taking a stand against racism. It's a matter of whether the show can be profitable. In which case, it's kind of hard to sell commercials when the star of your show is comparing a black person to an ape. Then there's the fact that this whole thing wasn't an isolated incident and that she's had a long history of saying racist and xenophobic shit even long before the revival was picked up. Hell, it arguably wasn't even the worst thing she said in that one long morning of offensive tweets. She also accused a Jewish man who fled Nazi Germany of throwing his friends into Auschwitz and stealing their money.

I don't know what hilarious appropriate way to kill her off? Well she died because she didn't have health insurance because of Trump getting rid of Obama care. The original season ended just randomly mentioning that her husband was dead. Just do a reverse of it from Dan's point of view mentioning that Roseanne is dead.

Mark was dating Darlene for instance. which is why I said earlier that this season of Roseanne was in a completely different universe Twice over.

The media picked up on the "Dan was dead, but now he's not" thing, but not this important thing that was retconned- the whole series!

The Tambor thing could be the end of AD. They just shot themselves in both feet and the stomach with that horrific interview they gave, wouldn't be surprised if that took a good-sized chunk out of their already cult fanbase. And if Jessica Walter decides she's done with it after all this (which she hopefully does), it's done; her character is probably the biggest draw of the show.

Thinking about it, did we really need a Roseanne reboot? We already have a show about a family with financial problems in Speechless, which is better in almost every way.

What did Tambor get accused of? On May 23, 2018, Tambor's Arrested Development co-star Jessica Walter said in a New York Times cast interview that Tambor had verbally harassed her. “He never crossed the line on our show, with any, you know, sexual whatever. Verbally, yes, he harassed me, but he did apologize, In like almost 60 years of working, I’ve never had anybody yell at me like that on a set In that New York Times interview, both Walter and Tambor noted he had apologized.

Rename the show "The Connors" Than basically have some way Rosanne died (They can't not ignore her character) and Dan by himself with the rest of the family. The talent of the case could make it work.

This is a prime opportunity to crossover Roseanne into the MCU. Just use Thanos to explain Roseanne's disappearance.
On a more serious note, I hope the crew that got screwed over by Roseanne Barr's bigotry get rehired for this reboot if it happens.

Agreed, the only one to blame for the show getting cancelled was Roseanne going on a bigoted tirade, so she's the only one that shouldn't make a return.

Roseanne’s comedy act was always about saying and doing outrageous and offensive things-the only thing that has changed was the sensibities of our society. For my own part I will point out that A. All the other comedians who are not being pointed at as a “Double standard” do indeed make equally tasteless and crass remarks-but they do it on stage or on the air as part of their act. Roseanne was tweeting this casually on her own time, leaving much more of a reflection fo herself than of her act. And B. Since all the cast members came out and said they were expecting it to happen I get the impression that she was unglued for a while and that her social media antics were either the last straw for the network-or just the excuse they had been looking for. Without getting political, I see no violations of free speech here at all, because free speech isn’t freedom from consequences for your speech. There is no inalienable right to be an asshole in the US constitution. And, indeed, it is worth noting that Roseanne herself initially urged people not to get political about it and admitted it was a dumb thing to do-and it was only after her cast mates came out against her that she suddenly jumped on board with the whole crowd crying foul over it.
