Wondering now if there's rights issues somehow with 2 Guys. DVD-wise, UHA too. I was thinking it is more of a low demand for those two series on DVD issue. How many people even remember either show? And out of the ones that remember them, how many are going to buy them on DVD? According to reports I have read the market for TV shows on DVD/Blu Ray has bottomed out. With only stuff like Netflix originals,HBO originals and stuff like that selling. They could make a burn on demand system for those shows at least. Maybe one of those numerous "retro tv" subchannels (ie, MeTV, Laff, Decades, etc) would pick them up, but most of the shows on there are from the 70s-80s.

Burn on Demand would be a good way to put them out. Either show would fit on Laff pretty well. Since Laff seems to be airing more stuff from the 90s now. With them having Cybil,Grace under Fire and That 70s Show.

They should always pretend in every episode that Roseanne is in another room, or has gone out for some reason, like a dentist's appointment.

I think “The Conners” will fail Look at 2 and 1/2 men Not saying Roseanne is near Charlie sheen levels but it was never the same without him Not exactly a good analogy. Two and a Half wasn't exactly a creative powerhouse when Sheen left production; it was about a sexual deviant, his unlikable mooch brother, and his flatulent nephew where everyone except Herb & Berta were completely unsympathetic. This show will likely do just fine, but in today's day and age, it will have to fight tribalism in today's society.

That sucks. We get Law and Order on 20 channels, but can't get Unhappily Ever After on one? I should have bought the DVD set of the complete series when I saw it at a con a few years ago. But the guy wanted 60 bucks and I had no way to test the discs. Hell, we don’t even get reruns of Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place, and that had Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion. My brother was into Half & Half, a show they never released on DVD or any streaming service.

Here's something I still ponder over. I'm not defending Roseanne by any means...and I know about the previous discussion about that HBO comedian's routine. But really...what about the shows and comedians that make fun of people in other walks of life, or the other side of the coin politically? And more often than not it still is all about looks. If you lived in New Jersey the last couple of years you know what I mean. There was no shortage of size jokes and slams about a certain major character here, for instance. Yes, some of it is "just a show" unlike Roseanne, but then again, many shows get inspiration from real feelings. The joke (and the blowback afterward) had exactly f*** all to do with politics and everything to do racism and Islamophobia, coming from a "comedienne" with a history of saying racist shit. There are about a hundred reasons why you can't "whatabout" fat jokes parallel to racism, but I'll just leave it at this: as an overweight black man, I have never in my life felt unsafe in a situation because of my weight.

Yes. But still, anyone who's been picked on for being not like another person or people still hurts all the same, I'm sure. And at least there's people looking out against racism. Other forms of bullying aren't so lucky, and there's certain other kinds of people who don't have a champion or a role model.
