Isn't cancelling the show and hurting everyone else in the cast kind of extreme? I could understand punishing Roseanne for it, which is admittedly difficult since her name is the title of the show, but hurting the pocket books of the rest of the cast just for optics sucks. Suspend her, punish her, write her off the show. Do something that doesn't hurt the other people who spent time, money, etc, on making this reboot successful. And lets be real, it is easy to make a reboot that sucks ass (Boy Meets World, Full House, etc). It's a lot more difficult to make a topical reboot and make it successful, and this show was definitely on its way, and Roseanne wasn't the only reason for that. The cast deserves better. It's the Roseanne show - that's the thing. How do you un-Roseanne from Roseanne? Same way you un-Shirleyed Laverne and Shirley? Or took the half-man from Two and a Half Men? |

I feel the worst for the crew. Most of the cast came back and still have other projects and opportunities, but those crew guys got the shaft here.

I would imagine that sponsors already told ABC they wanted out making it financially impossible to keep it going. With her being the a major force on and off camera it may not be possible. |

Also makes me wonder if they'll be viewed as being guilty by association and have their careers negatively affected as well for wanting to work for her in the first place. I know it sounds ridiculous [because it is ridiculous since in those lines of work, you take what you can get and they shouldn't suffer any repercussions from this], but you never know. |

It would be difficult to disassociate her from the show even if they did tweak it and center it around Dan or someone else. At that point the reboot would be pointless since Roseanne was the catalyst. I just feel for the rest of the cast since the show was doing extremely well by all accounts. I guess that's show biz. |

My wife was a HUGE fan of the show growing up, and while she doesn't agree with Roseanne's politics, she was over the moon that the show was back. She'll be crushed to hear this. As am I. That reboot was incredible.

This show should've stayed in the grave. This CURRENT racist tirade she went on is downright tame compared to some of the past garbage she's said/posted. It's not like it was some dark, hidden secret that Roseanne was a bigot. On one hand I feel sorry for the cast because they're now tied to this, but then I'm not because they knew who she was. I hope we never, ever hear from her again.

That's who I also feel for right now, the fans. I was never a Roseanne fan myself since I could never really get into it, but this was pretty much by all accounts a successful revival.
And again, the fact that its over already falls onto one person, and that's Roseanne herself, the only one out of this that I have no sympathy for.

This was a very entertaining show. The cast was spectacular. They had that same chemistry from back in the day. They had great people like Norm Macdonald, Wanda Sykes and Whitney Cummings working on it. Roseanne called this season the most fun she’s ever had. And now she’s put a lot of people out of work and flushed it all away with a tweet.
I’m so glad this board doesn’t allow us to talk about politics here. No matter whatever side of the coin people represent there are so many that go down some twisted path of hatred like Roseanne has. I have no interest in being involved in any of that. So many of the old sayings your parents would throw around are so true. “If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” Unfortunately I guess that’s just too hard for some people.

I enjoyed the original show, and the reboot, but I cannot support her words. I feel for the people she put out of jobs now, because she couldn't keep that to herself.
