While, not relating to most of the "realistic" portrayals of middle American, I actually like the conservative outlook of the whole. It gave me an interesting outlook and I could understand where they're coming from while not being insanely obnoxious about it like Tim Allen's character on Last Man Standing (especially since his character was a rich white guy who had it pretty good and didn't like the world changing around him). Also gave me some perspective on things. I make fun of "Taking our jobs" memes, but didn't understand it until the episode where Dan's company got underbid by someone using Undocumented workers, since I'm familiar with the hardships this character has already dealt with in the previous series.

I guess I should've clicked an article or two and found this out myself, but are they finishing out this season or is it just done immediately?

My problem with the revival of the show was that it seemed like it was written by people that never saw the original one...

like Roseanne went off on a tirade about how Darlene didn't spank her kids... when uh... Roseanne didn't either... an entire Episode of the original series was Roseanne spanked DJ for the first time and basically spent the rest of the time a nervous wreck that she was going to become abusive like her father.

but if you go by this Roseanne was in a completely different universe than the original... twice over... I guess it makes sense

That said it sucks that the rest of the cast and crew are out of jobs because Roseanne gonna Roseanne.

Also checking her Wikipedia, this was the first time since 2015 that she actually was getting work. So again, way to f*** things up for yourself yet again, Roseanne.

This season was only 9 episodes and finished airing a week ago. There was an order for a 13 episode second season, but obviously, that's not happening.

John Goodman can be useful in somewhere like Agents of SHIELD. He can pull off some sci-fi stuff and his work in Kong: Skull Island was good enough to sell the monsters as a big deal.

Valerie Harper had a series called "Valerie" that she left after the second season because of money. They wrote her out, changed the name to "Valerie's Family" (then to "The Hogan Family") and the series lasted for 4 more seasons.
