Roseanne proved to me the last 24 hrs that she is the definition of stupid idiot. I loved the reboot and the show but what she did was something that saying "I'm sorry" for and except us to be ok with that. Anybody who can have those thoughts, type it out, and click post and not think well maybe this is a bad idea, deserves to have a show cancelled. I feel bad for all the cast members and crew who just lost there jobs over this but only one person to blame. Yeah, I feel for the cast and crew and the fans who were enjoying the reboot. Too bad she's such a dipshit. They where, the ratings where doing very good. but than she screwed it all up for them. |

I hope they use the open timeslot to bring back Alex Inc. It's not a great show, but there is potential. Maybe ABC can be shamed into doing it all things considered.

Kill off Roseanne and bring it back as "Dan". Have Roseanne's character overdose on pills or die during her knee operation. John Goodman was the best part of the reboot anyway.

Additionally, if you are another broadcast entity and know of Roseanne's decades-long issues with massive public relation f***ups, do you really want to ensure your brand is tarnished by her next inevitable public hatefest? |

Isn't cancelling the show and hurting everyone else in the cast kind of extreme? I could understand punishing Roseanne for it, which is admittedly difficult since her name is the title of the show, but hurting the pocket books of the rest of the cast just for optics sucks. Suspend her, punish her, write her off the show. Do something that doesn't hurt the other people who spent time, money, etc, on making this reboot successful. And lets be real, it is easy to make a reboot that sucks ass (Boy Meets World, Full House, etc). It's a lot more difficult to make a topical reboot and make it successful, and this show was definitely on its way, and Roseanne wasn't the only reason for that. The cast deserves better.

Or "I bet this was an excuse cause she supports (EDITED...) and what about the shows that are clearly against (EDITED...) like SNL and late night?"
I do seriously wonder about that, though...what's the difference?

The reality was that the series lived and (well) died by Roseanne. Whatever she did determined the health of the project. It absolutely sucks for them, but they're quality actors and I think they'll get gigs soon again. It's Roseanne who is finished. |

Though one where the kids are their actors age, so Axl is 28, Sue is 26, etc and seeing them as adults and stuff coudk be fun. They left things in the finale so there could be room for things.
