in all honesty, that's just your opinion. Yep. Loved the toys and such but was kind of a goofy show. The Thundertank was a fantastic toy.

It even had an actual ending which is super rare for the time period. but it does have some "theese exist to sell toys" episodes ... like I said ... probably earlier in this thread... like Hammerhand and his bunch die in their first appearance... he returns as a ghost in his second... and then suddenly him and his buddies are all fine and look completely different in time for the toys to come out >_>

Stuff like Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Ghostbusters had varying levels of consistency, while TMNT was generally decent but the relatively simple designs of the main characters made it a little easier on the animators. Thundercats as a whole, to my eyes, is a cut above all but a handful of episodes from those shows.

Of course, that's pretty standard for the time, but there's definitely fewer instances compared to those other shows.

Honestly even some shows that are heavily praised for their animation like Batman the Animated Series have their episodes that are very off-model. Kind of just the nature of that style of production.

Indeed. It was pretty commonplace for 60-100 episodes to be produced with a turnaround of 3-6 weeks per episode from conception to completion, so there would always be some episodes that get farmed out to animation studios of lesser quality.

Maybe next time they decide to reboot ThunderCats, they'll get someone who actually likes the franchise. Instead of someone who openly hated it because his brothers liked it. Yeah the punk openly said that he hated it and was doing it to spite his brothers.
