I guess that podcast Colt did with Bubba Ray kinda gave that impression that Punk/Cabana weren't as tight as they used to be, he practically had to drag the answer out of Colt asking if they were still friends after this. If Punk gave his word he would cover his share of the costs and is backing out of it is a real shitty move on his part. Hasn't Punk basically been pissed at Cabana ever since Cabana showed up backstage at RAW a few years back?

Yeah, Cabana was backstage saying hi to a few folks and Punk took that as being stabbed in the back. I know we're not totally in the loop but the optics of it make Punk look like a real dick, honestly.

Is Punk a jerk if he did promise to pay his costs and then take it back without any good reasoning? Yes, if all that is true. Just as in the previous trial, there are a ton of facts that may come out about arguments they had since or legal developments that led to Punk withdrawing his offer. However, even if he did do that, I am not sure Colt has a case if his evidence is just his word and a text message. that I have a hard time believing equals a legally binding contract.

Cabana's pretty careful with his money - if he's going back into court, he must think he has a real chance of winning.

Ugly situation If everything is true as presented in the article, I don't think Colt has much to stand on from a legal standpoint unless he's got something more concrete than that...

Well I always wondered what would've happened if Marty Jannetty or Beefcake sued their more successful partners. Guess this is as close as it gets. Why would Jannetty sue Al Snow?

Maybe it's also possible Punk isn't swimming in Monday and wasn't able to consciously afford to pay the rest of Colt's salary?
Devil's advocate, sure, but still.

Well it's gonna be awkward when they see each other at the All In fan fest.
Also expect Punk's pro wrestling tees section to get taken down any second now.

After Punk left WWE, we wrestling fans got all twitterpated over the inevitable podcast where we knew there'd be plenty of juicy bits and bobs. That interview lead to so much unexpected ugliness and negativity. Half a million to defend himself against WWE's doctor... goodness. In the end, the Real Victory was the friendships Chris Amann destroyed along the way.

Punk's a bitch. Yeah we knew he was prior but wow, that's f***ed up. Cabana was dragged into this and now he's being left to sink. I hope Cabana wins this case.

Cabana is currently at the Edinburgh Fringe where even the successful comedians lose money. I wonder if he’ll sell more tickets based on this. Not saying that to be cyncical, just wondering. Who would buy tickets based on this, who hadn't already?

Who would buy tickets based on this, who hadn't already? Because there might be more people who now want to go along to ask about this story?

Now Vince will bankroll Colt and hire him as an announcer lol I don't get Cabana, he just lost a shit ton of money during the Amann trial, now he's gonna lose more on this trial. I may be wrong but unless Colt has it on writing that Punk promised to pay for everything, Punk shouldn't be liable right? This trial is literally him trying to get the money back from this trial. And the evidence is a text message where Punk said he'd cover it. That's what is being tried, Swerve...it will be revealed in court that Kevin Nash sent the text... to himself
